I don't play PvP that often these days, i've enough to do in PvE to keep me entertained.
From a personal point of view, quickplay shouldn't be the sweatfest it currently appears to be. How can this be changed though? You can't ban certain guns or players with a high glory rating though.
So the casuals who jump into the, allegedly, most easy going play list get mullered and often don't cone back.
If anyone knows the answer speak up, you'll be very popular with Bungie and gamers alike.

I agree, although with D2 I prefer PvE. I do play other PvP games. Problem with a format like Destiny, is you have 17% (Total guess) of players who are primarily PvP player's. You get someone like me, playing PvP occassionally perhaps to obtain AoS getting plastered by players who prefer PvP , thus making it unpleasant and unlikely for players like me to return. Gambit has been a nice addition as the adds do mitigate the advantage primarily PvP player's have in a setting like Crucible. This is in no way a dig toward those who prefer PvP in Destiny. I am simply pointing out a possible reason why PvP in Destiny seems to be strongly supported by a small percentage of players and largely ignored by the majority. In games like CoD or Titan Fall, you know you are getting a game in which the vast majority of players are getting for the PvP experience. In a format like Destiny, I believe but don't know that most play for PvE. Which begs a question, "Why are so many weapons quests tied to PvP?"

Because Bungie knows that it is PvP where players are actively most passionate, most responsive.. and I don't mean in a way that it is most popular by our community, it's not, but when you enter the Crucible, you get the highest range of emotions from it, either positive or negative, and PvP is that pinnacle activity, that tests what players collected in PvE.. most videos out there are about PvP, not PvE.. so it makes sense that Bungie is trying to bring more people to PvP, they're creators of Halo after all. And they want streamers and youtubers to actively play PvP and make PR for Destiny as whole through that.
