Lag Switching Hacking Asians?
Why is it that gameplay can be relatively fine in Iron Banner Until, you begin encountering teams with Asians and get continual problems of them teleporting or not even taking damage from multiple opponents. 3 of us watched the same team of 4 running around virtually never taking damage. Not just periodically, but continuously! We're not sure what countries they're from but the Asian names and Asian character clan names is making me lean towards Asian :(

2 RepliesLight travels 186000 miles per second approximately. This means a minimum of a quarter of a second to communicate via geosynchronous orbiting satellites at 24k miles up and back. Throw in crappy connections in some distant countries....yikes. There is no reason Bungie should EVER make people in different hemispheres play one another. Yet.... Then there is the issue of players intentionally playing on a slow responding connection. If you are pumping data a 1GB on fiber like I do, your PS/4 communicates your position faster to everybody not doing 1GB. Uh-oh...they know where you are really at, and you only think you are aiming at them. They actually left your sights a few hundred milliseconds ago, but the update with they new position and vector has not reached you yet. Hence, you get shot through the wall, or think you are hitting somebody taking no damage. Then add to this the fact that P2P networking allows hackers to proxy their PS/4, allowing them to modify information enough to gain an advantage. I'm sure the developers at Bungie told management about this because it's obvious to anybody who has a rudimentary understanding of networking. This means management pretty much said, "So what? This is less expensive, and I have my annual trip to Europe to pay for." Bottom line: Blame Bungie, not the Asians.

I don't think its right to have a problem with asians cuz lag. Its likely they're very far away if you are playing in eu/us. I do think bungie needs to address the fact that being laggy is a significant benefit in pvp.

1 ReplyThat was happening to me too! I shoulder bashed a guy with half shields, didnt even faze him, and then he one punched me when i was at full health and shields. And it wasn't just him, it was 3 of 'em. I reported all of 'em.

I get matched with a lot of South Americans- it’s super common even though I’m on the eastern seaboard of the U.S.. it usually is fine but if a South Korean joins my lobby (its only happened a few times over the years) it completely breaks the game where it’s best to just hit record and laugh as they rubber band like crazy- racking up kills or just back out of the match.
