It's been 6 months, and still nothing on the Riven cheese
Like seriously this raid is joke now compared to KF, VoG, WotM, etc. Do you guys remember when the final boss of a raid was actually hard? Me neither. Even when Leviathan first came out, the only hard part was dogs because it took 3 phases, and the EoW final boss was Vosik (first WotM boss) level hard. The SoS final boss was the only real challenging one until we got Whisper and 400 light. Now i dont even care for the raids anymore.

It's not a cheese... Jesus when will people learn the difference... a cheese is when you cheat the gane in some way making crota permanently kneel for instance is a prime example of this... all going to one side is not a cheese... I know people like to think it is because you're not doing all the fight mechanics.. why would you if you can do so much damage to riven you don't have to waste time. Just kill the boss and move on... at first when it was cluster rockets I could hold a see how people would see this as cheesy.... but it's been done with like every weapon with every match up if guardians possible

Whisper is not as effective as acrius, arcstrider, nova, sentinel, wardcliff, ep shotty against sos.

Easy solution to this is don’t do the cheese but why should you dictate how someone else plays the game? (Before someone jumps on me saying I crutch the cheese let me stop you as I don’t raid I mostly play PvP)

I’d like to see it fixed too but it is what it is for now. I’ve joined groups that want to do it legit for the fun of it. Sometimes if I’m in a rush I’ll just join a cheese group but I still prefer that fight legit.

Its been too long now. Changing it up would only push people away. Its a cheese, a very [i]very[/i] mild one as it requires a high level and a good loadout, but its a cheese nonetheless and Bungie have decided to let us keep it. I dont mind. I can do the legit fight easily enough, the cheese just means EZ claps with PUGs. I'm ok with that.

The devs said when the complaint first got brought up the second or third week of the raid being out that it isn’t a cheese and they aren’t patching it. When there was that Calus cheese where you killed your self to keep adds from spawning in the throne room they fixed it in like a week or two. Don’t hold your breath for a change.
