The super gain is inconsistent as hell to say the least. Why in pvp can I get multikills of 3 or higher and get back 20% of my super, but I spawn kill 1 guy and get back over 60%? How about in pve when I hit and kill a dozen enemies, several were orange or yellow bars, generate 7 orbs, and still only get back 20%, but I hit a giant boss with every knife without killing it and get back more than half?
It's exact wording is 'hits and kills with blade barrage will return super energy after the super ends'. Why is it then that hits and kills or even just kills with the explosions do hardly anything? Especially for multikills which logically speaking should generate more? Hardly useful in pve and pvp is just as random it seems unless it's used as a mayhem crutch.
Edit: I know they changed the super generation to knife hits, but my point still stands when you hit several enemies (my last forge match had 8 enemies grouped up, 3 were orange bars) with knives that move fast enough in most cases is impossible to dodge and miss with and you still only get back a small percentage. If multikills gave super energy it would be fine, but what's the point of using shards if the description is doing the same thing as pre-'fix' oathkeeper and hardly gives you anything?

Because the super return doesn't come from the explosions. It comes from the damage the KNIVES do to their targets.
