I don't know about you but I and many others are sick of you (Bungie), tying everything to PVP. Crucible, Gambit, it's just crap!! Lots of people don't like PVP!! As a matter of fact, most people hate crucible and Gambit. Please stop tying rewards to PVP especially since Crucible is stil a POS. It will probably never be fair and equitable to casual players. If you want a strictly multiplayer game then make one please so regular PVE players don't have to suffer so much. Thanks for reading my gripe.

I hear you loud and clear!! I cringe every time I have a quest or bounty that involves Crucible or Gambit. If there is another way around it I take it. I have even abandoned some quests because of the PVP component. People have said it before, "Everybody's favorite Crucible and Gambit".... NOT!!

The PvP community keeps the game alive between content drops. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

6 RepliesEdited by i_am_EGO88: 2/21/2019 3:22:51 AMYes but make the pvp players do raids and forges and nightfalls and well.... all the stuff you wanna do??? Yeah that’s balanced 🤣
-
13 RepliesProblem is, the pvp guys are the ones who come online and gripe the most. Do an anti pvp post on here and you’ll end up downvoted to oblivion. Most the pve guys are just playing the game how they want. Not moaning about cheating, nerfing, op this, ddos that. Just playing, with whatever weapons they’re left with after the pvp lot get them neutered.
-
5 RepliesI get that a lot of the player base would rather have a game without pvp but I always thought that having both pvp and pve is what made Destiny Destiny.
-
I don't know about you but I and many others are sick of you (Bungie), tying everything to PVP..
Fun fact. Very little is tied to pvp in comparison to the vast plethora of things tied to pve.
-
Bump.... hate destiny’s pvp but power through it occasionally for milestones or a quest. Really wish they would focus more on pve also
-
1 ReplyAs a veteran player of the first game I understand where you’re coming from .... pvp back in 2014 wasn’t that bad but over the years that have past it has gone from being a add on to major cause of the problems in this game & for some like myself to recognise this someone that does pve patrol then there must be some serious problems. If anything bungie needs to go back to basics and start focusing on pve instead
-
19 RepliesThe vast majority of the player base doesn't play PvP, yet Bungie continues to require it for quests. It's not that hard to completely separate the game modes.
-
Have to agree.

26 RepliesBungie has some unrealistic notions of how this game is played and how it should be played. They think everyone should play the game as a single entity....moving freely back and forth between PVE and PVP. The reality is that only a minority of players do this. The vast majority strongly identify with one half of the game or the other. So they just don't get it. That its a foul to put quests for exotics like The Last Word (which was used to market the Annual Pass) or Malfeasance and Ace of Spades (which were used to market Forsaken) behind a PVP wall. Especially now when Quickplay is obnoxiously sweaty because the lack of SBMM has basically ran off most of the average players...and all of the casual players with an ounce of self-respect. So PVP is a pretty miserable experience right now for pretty much everyone who isn't a top 10% player.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 2/20/2019 4:39:08 PMI’d like them to, for one season, not tie level progression or any quest steps or gear acquisition to PvP, and then we could see how many people play it just because they like and enjoy it. That’s the ONLY reason anyone should ever be on a team competing anyway. Vicarious PvP participation is and always has been a terrible idea for various and obvious reasons. Trying to force the entire game is a bad idea, also for obvious reasons. Trying to make the players fit the game makes no sense. It’s backwards.

Don’t be selfish bro... PvP and Gambit get very little in the way of content. Last season saw Gambit get 1 new weapon and nothing else. PvP got 1 new weapon, a couple of reworked old weapons and some ugly new IB armor. No new maps, no new modes. Barely anything new between them. PvE got 4 exclusive exotics, A new raid, 4 new forge activities/maps, brand new forge/raid weapons, a significant number of reworked Y1 weapons 2 new Armor sets and hidden puzzles. Top it off, the quest for the most PvP weapon of all time ends up comprising of mostly PvE activities. Outside of Prime Engrams, you can earn 3 powerful reward drops from PvP per week and 4 from Gambit. 7 total. From PvE, you can get 5 from last wish, 3 from Scourge, 3 from heroic strikes, 2 from NF, 1 from heroic story, 3 from Petra, 1 from Blind Well, 1 from Spider, 3 from Ada, 1 from Flashpoint and 2 from heroic Adventures (think I got all of them). That’s 25 total. I’m not including clan or Ikora here because they can be earned via either. If you run 3 characters that’s 75 per week in PvE and 21 per week for PvP & Gambit. There is much stronger bias towards PvE in this game (as it should be) so to try and represent that Bungie are leaning more heavily towards PvP or Gambit is just plain untrue.

Ahhhh a pve player crying again
-
Yeah I can’t believe they tied pvp to crucible smh
-
3 RepliesI like how THE STORY is NOT tied to pvp. I like how RAID/PVE GEAR is NOT tied to pvp. I like how STRIKES involve NO pvp. I like how PVE ACTIVITIES have NO pvp in it (Gambit is not pve bois) I like how PATROL is NOT pvp. The list goes on.
-
4 RepliesCrucible got a Grenade Launcher and 20% of TLW quest last season. No new maps, no new modes. You people that want to blame PvP for the fact that the game has been out for a year and half and you still can't pull a .5 K/D are to blame for PvP being so bad. Its not the other way around. .5 is less than casual. I feel for casual players and people that work 90 arz a week but when people become delusional and say things like Bungie puts all the effort into PvP they just need to be told to shut up. Shut up.

1 ReplyThere are a handful of guns tied to PvP and Gambit. I know, maybe I should get Raid gear from Crucible and Nightfall specifics from Gambit. My favorite is "your PvP is shit", I'm pretty sure you mean you're bad at all pvp not just Destiny pvp.
-
2 RepliesThen don't play it. No one is forcing you to play. We know you're a dead weight in PvP. I can tell by your temper tantrum. PvE scrubs are the most toxic people in this community. Trying to remove an entire section of a game they're not forced to play just because they suck at it.
-
Actually, pvp is what is keeping the game going for me right now. I already have his rolls and all my black armory guns. I run my 3x riven every week and still can’t get a 1K, the most fun thing left is pvp. Why would I want to run the same strikes with the same enemies that I have already killed 50 times over and over and over? Like it or not, for many of us pvp fills the gaps, and right now we are in a huge gap.

10 Replies14.0M Tracked Players Total 561.7K Crucible Players Yesterday 671.2K PvE Players Yesterday

5 RepliesI don't know why bungie keeps tying the coolest rewards to pve, a lot of people hate pve, after the first time comparing a strike for example you've developed a flawless stratagey that works every time... But in pvp your enemy is constantly evolving, which means you have to constantly improve as a player if you want to win...
-
I think they push PvP more because its difficult to keep expanding the world of PvE.
-
Take a break relax try some other games. Enjoy life bungie tries. Unfortunately trying to make everyone happy has left most un happy.
-
Play both.

I'm looking forward to "The Outer World's" later this year. It's a single-player RPG. You might to check it out.
