This idea would revitalize the franchise.
Everything that we earned and more should be in one game. If we let go of D2 like we did with D1, I call that wasted effort. Not only on your side, but on the players side. Sell it for the price of the new game, which should be $60. Drifting to D2 was a mistake Bungie, this game was meant to continue off one game. It's a longshot, but now that the game belongs to Bungie and the community, it can work.
Please take this to consideration Bungie. Who wouldn't love to replay old missions and visit D1 destinations for the beautiful art, and nostalgia? We're tired of leaving the loot we earned, and it's about to happen again!

That’s so much time wasted copy and pasting d1 and 2. The time should be spent inivating the franchise. With this concept as an after thought.
-
Destiny 2 should have never existed. They should have just updated the original game that would have been way better.
-
They. Cant. Just. Copy. And. Paste. D1 into to d2.
-
For The next franchise installment make a feature film based on the lore and then only after release the mondo game of 1,2,3 combined . Either it would be the biggest win in history or the biggest fubar any company has ever made.. But I like to gamble with other people's money ... But then there was halo..

Edited by ol azo: 2/20/2019 5:46:10 AMDestiny has no future. We've gone from the ideal Year 1 to weak primaries for 2 years, to a pvp that plays like a raid in D2, and now we're back to weak primaries. Nobody knows what they're doing. You would think someone would be fine tuning the game by now, but they're still fumbling over how the core of the game works. Now we're stuck with fantasy worlds like Nessus, cheesy music, and lame and annoying characters. The worlds are nowhere near as believable as Destiny's. In Destiny you could tell The Fall happened. Not so much in D2. Bungie had some of the world's most talented people working on the game's art, as well as story if I remember right. D2 looks weird. Nothing much more, just weird, and maybe a little ugly. The Guardians look chubby. The armor looks weird. They used to look fit and the armor beautiful. The guns look like toys in D2, especially the Exotics. They used to look unique, but believable. All aspects of the game are failing. Pve remains dry and unbalanced, pvp remains a network of losers running away from each other, the story is tossing in well known lore characters to compensate, the abilities remain a mess and result of mindless changes, and the overall balance and core of the game has ranged from nearing a CoD to Halo ttk. Nobody knows what they're doing.

Now i would love this, but the games would clash a whole lot.

Edited by ken31cayman: 2/18/2019 11:54:37 PMYeah definitely. During D1 my best weapons being left behind really took a lot of the game's shine away for me. Starting completely over in D2 had the same effect. In a way I'm fine with it. D1 took way too much of my time, D2 has been a lifesaver in that respect.

Before they focus on one game and building on it, they need to ditch the shittiest game engine in the world, and create a new one from ground up.
-
Edited by A KOOL POP TART: 2/19/2019 6:21:53 PMIf I had to guess, that actually might be their long term goal. Bungie seems to want to commit more time to building up D2 and giving it a chance over abandoning it. It would be nice if they started adding one or two D1 destinations next year along with a new destination to go along with the next dlc, and gradually just make one large game, all encompassing game
-
That was the initial permise for the game but then Bungie got greedy and gere we are.
-
Yeah combine them all then they can just charge the single price of $500
-
Pay twice for the same content? No.
-
Edited by Kouz_MC: 2/19/2019 6:00:50 AMCan you please use your brain?? D1 and D2 are under a contract between Activision and Bungie. Did you hear that activision and bungie split? Now think again!
-
I can’t comprehend the reasoning behind people wanting to merge d1 and d2. D1 happened, people got nostalgic and wanted it back, but can we please leave the past in the past and focus on the new?
-
Just play D1 then, why is that hard to do? Boot it up abd play it.
-
Bungo can't use polymerization...
-
Agree
-
probably been said already but how in the world would this work on Console? A 500+ GB game? Force people to upgrade their consoles to ones with beefier version of hard drives or force them to spend $$ on externals?
-
Too much combing for Bungie
-
YEP. Never gonna happen though. 😕
-
Too big of a file
-
I've said this since d2 came out all that content left behind is a huge waste this game should all be add ons not different games
-
It's too late.
-
If they do that then the forum posts will be, "Bungie your so lazy", "Bungie reusing content again". They are doing pretty good right now. There is plenty of stuff to do.
-
We are already being asked to pay for the same stuff twice, a third time isn’t going to revitalize anything. Destiny is over, D2 is over, and it’s going to take some massive achievements for Destiny 3. I hope Bungie is up to the task.
-
Yay, then they can sell us MORE recycled content!!
