Why don't people do heroic version of events ?

Quest. That's about it. But back in Y1 D2 it did drop a lot of exotics.

I only try to finish the public ASAP when I’m alone, but if there are people around me I try to start heroic. I bet we can all agree with that right?

Most of the time heroic events take longer, yet they give the same rewards.

Heroic drops the same loot, and some of them finish faster if you don’t make them heroic.

3 RepliesI could be wrong but Don’t the heroic and regular version drop basically the same loot? And didn’t they remove the option for exotics to drop from public event chests? I havent gotten one to drop So what’s the point of a heroic when it will give the same loot as the normal one?

Because, like many events in the game, the rewards SUCK!!!! This game tends to not respect your time. PvP, Strikes, Adventures, Lost Sectors, Escalation Protocol just don't give you anything for the time you spend.

2 RepliesI dont know about anyone else but sometimes 3 out 5 heroic events give me nothing but glimmer, not even a blue. Rest of the time I get 1 blue , glimmer and 1 planetary material. So much BS to waste your time for nothing. If it had a guaranteed legendary gear/weapons drop and small chance of exotic maybe, then we can see more heroic versions. But all in all, I just gave up on bungie and destiny. I like to play to have fun, get away from real life stress. Instead I come here to stress more lol

Not rewarding......basic is glimmer and 1 planetary material, heroic is glimmer, 2 planetary material, and a blue......so basically 2 Tokens and A Blue!

To be honest heroic events don't give anyone any insensitive to do them as there is nothing rewarding that drops from the chests so many players can't be bothered

Because the reward is rare junk that's useless. If it was a guaranteed legendary drop from the chest with an increased chance of an exotic drop i would do the heroic version. Being that both versions reward nothing but s**t i'll just do the standard version and save ammo.

3 RepliesThe compulsion for instant gratification and impatience. To show off their "skills". Maybe they just don't know how. Some do it just to be mean and show their disdain for other players. The "two tokens and a blue" effect causes many players to be disappointed with the rewards and I blame that on Bungie. There are rewards for Heroic PEs, extra XP and glimmer are guaranteed but the other potential rewards depend on RNG. Some players don't want to waste their time on something as iffy as RNG. Others are willing to risk it. I've gotten god-roll legendaries and even exotics from Heroic PEs so I'm willing to risk my time. Other players aren't. Oh we'll, no biggie. I'll just move on to the next one.

3 RepliesIf your talking about the tangled shore heroic public events it may be because people are trying to complete variks the loyal lore book for the chronicler title. You can only get those lore books to drop when then tangled shore is the flashpoint for the week. You get the lore to drop from PE’s (both heroic and normal) heroic adventures and lost sectors. The people who are farming are probably just burning through the PE’s as fast as possible to increase the chance that one will drop.

2 RepliesYou’ll see this a lot and the reason is simple, unlike other games or mmorpg’s the toughness of the enemy or event in destiny doesn’t effect the reward. So why do something a little harder when you get the same result from doing it on normal?

The first thing I did once I got my Whisper was to head on patrol just to obliterate that spider tank public event lol.

Any Blight event, any planet. A few Wardcliff shots at the first big Blight and the Heroic can be over before you could make it to the third Blight of doing it normal. The Servitor PE doesn't take any more time for Heroic. Glimmer Extraction might take a little more time, but it can be entertaining if you get a couple others you can trade Supers with. Same with the Wizard PE's. Cabal Excavation, take the Thresher down as it's coming in the first time. Faster than doing it normal. The Weapons Exchange, I just like trying to make it Heroic before the first Walker gets destroyed. Injection Rig is a crap shoot, but doesn't really take THAT much more time when Heroic. I like solo runs in the Spire Integration. Fun to make them Heroic and then get the completion of it. Yeah, that one takes some time though. The Ether Ritual always surprises me about how many people seem to not know how to make it Heroic. :( Cryo Pod? -blam!- him. I'm melting him down about as fast as I can most of the time. :) If I actually see blueberries running around, I'll normally go ahead and back off just in case they want/need a Heroic out of it. If they start slamming the Boss, ok. I'll help finish him off. If I see one or two of them heading to the vents, I'll concentrate my fire on the vents.

1 ReplyUp the cap on Ghost fragments. Make the rewards for the Heroic version of Public events on the Tangled Shore give more Glimmer and 3 to 5 Ghost fragments per completion. Give players a good reason to do the Heroic version.

6 RepliesWhats the difference? 2 blue engrams are still just 2 blue engrams. If its regular or heroic, the rewards are the same. Might as well get it done sooner than later if the rewards are the same.
