They are anti-choice.
If they were pro-choice then they would be against abortion, since abortion conveniently doesn’t allow babies to have a choice in their fate. Further, they would be for all sorts of social safety nets for the sake of children of all developmental stages and genetic make-ups.

1 ReplyWithin the first three months, the legal range for the procedure, fetuses are biologically incapable of either thought or pain. And by the time an individual grows enough to be capable of contemplating this, any healthy individual is biologically wired to resist death in any capacity, all after the damage and consequences of a child have all been cemented. I know this is a troll post, but I despise fallacies. What makes us human is our ability to think and reason, something that correlates with the medical declaration of death being brain death, or no noticeable conscious or unconscious activity within the brain. Once that goes, we are in the eyes of law dead, thus being subject to the decision by family to be severed from life support. If a family member can decide that their comatose significant other isn't worth keeping alive by external means, even if there could be a chance of improvement, a parent has every right to decide the same with a mass of cells literally incapable of thought and reason within the legal range for abortion. Especially with the state of the world and increasing overpopulation and housing shortages, people have no place to decide what other people do with their own bodies. That's like saying males shouldn't be allowed to masturbate because they're sacrificing material that could become a person. The whole concept of "pro-choice" is stating the choice of the parent in deciding, not the opinions of others. In that equation, in the first three months, a fetus is not an interested party, it's basically just an organ, incapable of supporting itself.

9 RepliesAnd the majority of Pro Lifers, only care when you’re still in the womb. Once you’re born, you better not get any assistance because that’s just means you’re lazy, or you just want the tax credits, or you should keep your legs closed.

7 RepliesThere was a sort of study conducted in, I think, Yugoslavia back in the 80's or 90's. Basically, when the authoritarian regime outlawed abortion thousands of unwanted children were born into poor and broken homes, because low income households are always much less likely to spend money on contraceptives, and then later when the democratic regime took over and unbanned abortions scientists noticed that there was a direct correlation with crime rates skyrocketing about 13 years after abortions were outlawed and dropping again a few years after the unban. I read this years ago and can't really remember the exact details, but I always thought it was really interesting to see, because it's really easy to say that all life is sacred, but you can't force parents to love and nurture those unwanted children. So the kids grow up to be delinquents and start ruining society. In a utopia abortions wouldn't exist, because every child would be planned and loved. This is not a utopia.

Agreed. Extend food stamps for those not receiving proper umbilical nutrition to the unborn. Maybe an EITC expansion is in order as well. And you know what? Universal pre-K is great and all, but it just doesn't go far enough. What we need is universal pre-pre-K. Why should the unborn be excluded from such vital social welfare policy? It's time for the FND, the Fetal New Deal. Call your representatives and let's get this done.

3 RepliesTook my girl to get another abortion the other day. Walking out and getting by all the snowflake Jesus freaks, I asked if she was hungry and where she would like to eat. She turned to me and said.... I want my baby back, baby back, baby back, baby back... Chili's baby back ribs! So we did that and then....
had more unprotected sex
12 RepliesI don’t think the fetus quite yet understands the concept of an abortion

1 ReplyThis is assuming pro-choicers aren't against abortion in the first place. The ones I've spoken to are.

I think it's interesting that the same people trying to insert themselves into the lives of others over this issue, are the same ones who scream and complain about "government" interfering in their private lives. If I knew someone who told me they were thinking about abortion, I would talk to them and see if I could offer any help/support. However, being that I think this is a private matter, and because I'm not the one having to be pregnant for 9 months, I would not tell them what they must/mist not do. I do think it's best government interferes in the lives of citizens as little as possible, but I don't think this should apply only to things I agree with.

4 RepliesThey're pro-choice, you're just misinterpreting who the "choice" making process refers to.

1 ReplyY’all are stupid if you think OP doesn’t know pro choice means the woman’s choice. Ofc he knows that, he’s just pointing out the irony of the name smh. I personally think abortions should only happen if the baby or mother’s life is in danger. Other than that, abortion shouldn’t happen. Don’t let a child die because you couldn’t use a condom.

1 Reply"Pro-choicers" generally are for social "safety nets". The more conservative "pro-lifers" are the ones who generally dislike that sort of thing.

1 ReplyEdited by JS5218: 2/16/2019 9:53:25 AMI just get a feeling that you won’t be getting involved in an abortion because no one is going to hook up with you. Congrats to you. Being pro life is easy when you never get the opportunity to make one in the first place. So stop worrying

1 ReplyDoes the aborted child get a choice?

2 RepliesEdited by Dizasterpiece: 2/16/2019 9:08:56 AMI am pro choice, and I am also against abortion. I am not against a womens right to choose abortion as an option, however if I would be the father of the potential baby then I would do everything in my power to give that baby life. Abortion isn't a 2 sided issue. And making all abortion illegal would be devastating on our society as a whole. And pro choice people are typically for the social safety net to help childen and parents in need. Have you ever noticed that the same people fighting tooth and nail to give every child healthcare via medicare for all are also the same people who side with pro choice?

Who cares! Humanity has enough nuclear bombs to destroy the world multiple times over and climate change is still a thing!
I'm just joking around of course, but I'm a guy so abortions aren't really my specialty
1 ReplyPro choice means to support the woman choosing to keep or abort the baby. You’re dumb 💀

28 RepliesAnd pro-life people don't really care about the life of a child, since a good chunk of them don't care that there were children housed in cages. Also with no way of being reunited with their family.
