Any high level activity should reward enhanced perks this includes forge/Nightfalls and maybe y1 raids
-
Doooooo it.

Also, don't bother sharing if you don't fix the infusion economy. 95% of armor/gear is unusable thanks to your investment team.
-
Just have to wait for a year to hear anything about it, if we're lucky.

I think there should be a way to give year one armor random rolls, i mean there was a lot of hard earned gear that was earned in year 1 such as trials gear and honestly some bits of raid armor were also good, For example an easy way to give Year one raid armor random perks is by having them drop in prestige modes, this way it gives people a reason to go back and play those raids (of coarse with a few adjustments to the leviathan prestige raid to make it a little more fair, remove the bonus mechanics and just make the enemies harder to kill like with the other two raids, weapons obtained there could also have random rolls or at least updated perk trees to make them on par with current raid level gear as well as having the benifit of having a randomized element thrown into the mix, the reason why im stating this is because the year 1 raids are currently not worth the trouble to play. Now For the trials gear i think there should be a little bit of a crucible based challenge, for example a set number of super, ability and specific weapon type kills. As for trials weapons, there should be a weapon bounty of sorts or quest depending on the weapon, these "trial bounties" will be similar to the redrix broadsword quest only its focused on the weapon archtype used but also less lengthy as the broadsword quest without the multiple crucible rank ups. in order to get a new Purpose for example you would have to use 200 rpm scouts, The roll pools for these weapons will be small but have the best perks to drop on them and will be augmented to use current mods as well, they can also implement a system similar to what we have for the forges but for PVP. also seeing as Trials weapons are from the "competitive" branch of things i would like it if it was kept to comp but also for those people who don't enjoy comp and want to do comp the progression should be twice or three time as slow in quick play, this will give people more of a reason to play comp at least in my opinion, because if im being honest the trials weapons were some of the best weapons period. Also i would like to add that for these updated weapons, they should also have updated and perfected looks. Also another reason you can do for these pvp/ trials bounties is to slap them onto Xur because once the updated trials comes out they will be considered "useless" to the nine ( based on the changes that may be made in the updated trials mode). You would still have to play crucible to get them it would just be last years weapons updated to the current status, armor should also require you to complete a bounty for said weapon quest. I also have to say that it should not be overly hard but it should not be piss easy either this is year 1 stuff. For example if i wanted to get a year 2 purpose then i would say (in order step by step) that you should have to dismantle year 2 legendary scout rifles (have it based off a percentage values with crucible scouts giving out large chunks and pve scouts giving minimal) 35 comp wins (not in a row) ( any cuts in network connectivity should void the match result) , 300 headshot kills with a 200 rpm kinetic scout rifles (600 if in qp) (iron banner kills should be treated as comp kills) . This is a good way to bring the year 1's best of the best gear into the current game setting tbh tho they are still going to have to earn it,however they can get the full benefit of going into comp with its current system in place , and this way a lot more people may jump into the crucible and play it, this way comp might get a little bit more healthy, also while doing this quest their will be no comp advancement or regression (basically your glory score wont change)

Especially Iron Banner. How is this armor supposed to be elite or desirable?
-
Iron Banner gear isn't elite that's why. It's Trials of the Nine gear that was.
-
It's supposed to be elite. IB was an endgame activity at one point and around even less often than Trials, which makes it more exclusive. They put a lot of time into IB armor and weapons plus skins, so they should make them elite if they want people to chase that grind.

Trials gear was still more difficult to obtain, which technically makes it more exclusive.

Not arguing trials gear shouldn't get enhancements as well. It should, as should IB.
Not arguing trials gear shouldn't get enhancements as well. It should, as should IB.
I'm sure nobody, or next to nobody, still uses Failure of the N9ne gear anyway.
-
Not just for drops but let us use ENHANCEMENT cores to upgrade our perks to the ENHANCED versions
-
Bad idea. Enhanced perks should stay in end game loot tables. Just let us transfer them to other pieces.
-
It is in no way a bad idea. With you're Bungie logic though, you're pretty much saying, dreaming city is end game content but not the forges
-
He makes and excellent point.

Edited by Matt_AsA_Hatter: 2/13/2019 6:20:55 PMTransmog armor please!! Not everything needs to have Enhanced rolls. Those items should still come from CHALLENGING content.

-
We've been saying this forever now. It's completely dumb that half of our collections is just fashion because you refuse to make them like year two stuff
-
Edited by WormChi: 2/13/2019 8:57:57 PMKeep it as is, there needs to be places to grind these armor perks besides Dreaminng City and the raid, but add it to Trials, IB, Faction Rally, and Nightfall Drops, that’s it. Btw bring back Trails before other games like Apex Legends steal your whole playerbase.
-
Trials doesn't exist, IB is once a month for a week, whatever the other thing is you mentioned doesn't exist. I could see nightfalls.
-
Trials is coming back if it wants to keep up with games like Apex Legends. These perks should be rare - just more sources. I grinded my ass off and I have full enhanced sniper armor. It’s not impossible.
-
"We'll add it in in the next overpriced paid expansion, thanks!"

Ask yourself 2 questions: 1) How much do I pay / hour of enjoyment? 2) How cheap am I? Personally: 1) $70 game / 700 hours = $0.10 per hour 2) Not that cheap.
