I don't agree with Cozmo thread and think things need to change with the sandbox. We want things to feel the same across the entire board is what Bungie said in D1. What Cozmo said is similar and what actually happened in D1 Bungie's sandbox actions showed otherwise. Example... Truth was nerfed from 3 in the tube to 1 and the reload time was slowed way down making it almost pointless to even use in PvE especially knowing the mechanics D1 had in PvE with the sponges. This was due because of PvP. Icebreaker regen was hit a couple times that most didn't even want to use it in PvE anymore after the last nerf. Yes, it was ok the first time to increase the regen taking a little more time because of some of the PvE events, but PvP did it in with the second nerf and whatever else was nerfed on it that it collected dust in the vault. Invective regen, rang, how much ammo in the clip was nerfed effecting its performance in PvE that was put aside as well. In fact, shotguns if I'm correct, all of them were hit 12 times in just about every single aspect of them because of PvP gamers. So, saying Bungie wants weapons to feel the same across the board knowing PvE is a totally sperate game mode? Nerfing thing to the point of collecting dust sitting in the vault is not what I can call having weapons feel the same as PvP. IMO Bungie is going the wrong way about all this when it comes to the adjustments to PvP and PvE. So if they are going to keep the balance the same across the entire board? how about the sandbox learns to buff things to make them compete with one another vs nerfing things creating a rotation so the next thing shins?

  • Let's not forget that pocket infinity in its full auto fusion rifle insanity was NEVER brought up to y3 because it would break PvP.

Granted I understand their point because there were plenty of times charged it up while walking into a minimum 1v4 and would win the fight untouched. But the simple solution is to separate the balancing like everyone keeps asking for lol

Bungie - "We want weapons to feel the same across all game types. We don't want players having a vastly different experience when going between PvP and PvE." ::Bungo nerfs carried ammo capacity for all game types:: Players - "What the fuck just happened?"

  • Do you remember the special ammo nerf in D1 that affected the raids because the sandbox doesn't play their own game? I like how they just nerf things, yet bragged about how they have a "chart" the shows every aspect of a weapon in the entire game. Damn, that is some top-notch balancing...

I remember Invectice and Ice Breaker no longer having ammo on respawn. I remember shotguns getting their range nerfed. I remember supers getting nerfed. I remember fusion rifles getting nerfed for no other reason than some assclown at Bungo wanted to. I remember ARs getting a .04% "situational" buff. I remember Bungo nerfing Hawkmoon so it could no longer proc all three lucky bullets at once. I remember Bungo nerfing wolfpack rounds. I remember Bungo ass-blam!-ing the fun out of this game.

Lol, and Fusion rifles are still talked about to this day. The thing is, it went a lot further than what you said that Bungie's sandbox literally went on a rampage for 2 years straight of nerfing just about anything they could think off. Hell, I was waiting for how fast we walked to get nerfed. I mean that is how bad it was.

  • Truth originally had 2 in the tube, but was buffed to 3 in patch 1.1 I believe. Then they nerfed it down to 1 in y3 like you've said making it worse now than it was in vanilla destiny.

I believe you're correct about the buff. When I came back to play ROI and seen what the sandbox did to the Truth I was upset knowing it was because all the gamers that complained about it in PvP. Edit: Aww, someone doesn't like the truth, lol.

Years' 2 & 3 continuous nerfs turned the game into a shell of it's former self.

I stopped playing D1 for over a year because of how the nerfing got out of control. When I came back I couldn't believe how much the sandbox literally destroyed. I don't care what anyone says, PvE and PvP adjustments need to be separated mainly because of Bungie's sandbox, and they are still trying to play this game... "We want weapons to feel the same across the entire board". Yet they literally said that they were going to try in y1 to keep the balance more separated, and here they are slowly going right back to their old ways.

  • The nerfs is the main reason I finally quit a week before Forsaken came out. I could deal with content droughts, reskins, giving us weapons back, etc. But once the nerf train started back up in D2 I was officially done. They held out for a while in D2 and made me believe that maybe they wouldn't let PvP dictate PvE this time around but alas, I was wrong. Hopefully Anthem delivers. Since there is no PvP that should mean a lot less nerfs compared to Destiny. If Bungie either separated PvE/PvP or somehow pledged/convinced us that they stop giving a fuq about PvP crybabies maybe I would come back. I'd be open to it anyway.

  • They won't separate the adjustments because it's easy to nerf across the entire board and only pay attention to one aspect of the game that is dying, and soon the other will as well as games come out because of Bungie's stubbornness...
