There are counters though, any explosive rounds blinds, high cal flinches if they cant chain a second heashot the guns lose all value Kill clip bygones 2 bursts, same with inaugural address Shotguns are more rampant then anything else, erentel fusions map Theres plenty of other top tier weapons

  • The point is that these two guns out of all hand cannons can do something no other one can. The perk is anti competitive. Is very unfun to play against. You say theirs counters... flinch isn’t a counter it’s flinch and a strong player won’t struggle against it

  • Once you go down the nerf path everything I listed earlier will become the new meta and have these same complaints until were back to Y1 D2

  • This isn’t a nerf path it’s called balancing the game. Them buffing everything is why were in this awful meta in the first place. Game literally can’t be taken seriously by many top tier players. No pro scene whatsoever and there won’t ever be sadly. Taking magnificent howl out would let other options rise finally, like when ikelos got nerfed how freeing it felt to switch to another loadout in a raid. Pulses would probably rise to the top and we haven’t had pulses for a little while. Autos getting a mild buff and scouts are pretty great as is. Hand cannons other than 180’s being buffed to 2 crits and a body for 140,150 I’d like to see how things played out from there

  • No dude the game launches in d1 with what they wanted the balance to sit at to out of wak. Probably because hand cannons were colossal shit in beta so they over tuned. They absolutely made some mistakes balance wise but what we had was very close to a balanced competitive multiplayer in d2. Now it’s garbage and needs tuning

  • Yeah no Y1 was full of cheap and dumb metal like uriels/mida teamshooting and antiope/last hope spam then graviton or vwing, it was boring as hell and is considered the worst meta period ever

  • It remains the closest to balanced we’ve ever had. Had a much higher skill ceiling and was built ground up to be competitive. What we have now is a garbage pile that’s the result of people complaining

  • Yeah they did get a buff. But hand cannons competing in the same range remained the meta option. Other than DoP and similar autos for a short while they literally never returned to a competitive state

  • Autos saw a decent amount of usage after the buff, soulstealers claw, doctrine even suros and zhalo were seen in 6s again after it

  • Seeing some people mess around with autos in 6’s doesn’t mean they are viable again. Whenever I go back to d1 I use dop and guess what, it gets shit on by hand cannons. Hand cannons were meta the entirety of d1 to the point where I’d love it if a hand cannon meta wasn’t forced down my throat for a change. And when we got one damn was it fresh. Teamwork being important, teamshot being more valuable. Positioning actually meaning something. All competitive elements in a better balanced multiplayer. People don’t want balanced in destiny they want crutch and casual crap and that’s what we have now

  • Ultimately for most of the community teamshooting and holding hands with teammates is boring and unfun You might say it's more balanced but with destiny abilities it doesnt really work anyway People would rather less balance and more fun then less fun for balance

  • Funny how plenty of people are leaving for these updates “fun” reasons tho. Holding hands or teamwork was insane in d1. We just always had instant kill guns to crutch on back then so you didn’t see as much of it

  • Let's talk realistically, back when we had "balance" total game numbers were down to 200,000 Today pvp alone is higher then that - and its Y2 compared to Y1! People are leaving because of a severe content draught and other games showing more appeal, we had much the same back in taken king
