[Not defending Bungie here, not am I attacking them, but throwing out ideas]
I wouldn’t say ignoring is the term. Usually when Bungie goes this quiet it means they’re either:
A: Saving up for a big reveal (interviews, trailer making, etc), in this case it could be Jokers wild or maybe the next major content update.
B: Have nothing to say since there are a multitude of situations like coding or extreme snowfall. DMG had made a post in Offtopic saying he may be trapped in by snow so it’s likely some of their workers probably couldn’t come in to assist.
Don’t believe me on that part? Check Washington’s (the state) weather and it’s currently a shitshow. Makes my state look tame lol
C: They aren’t on their own forums because let’s be real here, this place is just as toxic if not more than Chernobyl. You can’t make a honest and down to earth conversation as a company employee without being harassed from some of the users here.
You might not think that, but it happens. I’ve seen repeat offenders multiple times just follow DMG or Cosmo around just to harass them.

It was -25f here 2 weeks ago, plus 12” of snow,you what we did, went to work. We didn’t whine about it on Twitter, we went to work. Dmg, needs to toughen up

If you’re snowed in without power, it’s a viable excuse. Especially since the area where Bungie is located is getting hit with it majorly

Dude, Bungie is ignoring players for months, that's why using the snowfall as an excuse for Bungie silence is laughable, at least.

6 inches ain't 3 feet but since most of the a holes in Seattle moved here from California, half an inch shuts the city down. More than 3/4 of the state votes different than Seattle but can't overcome the population of snowballs that live there. Some of those terms are opinion, based on fact though.

But whose @fault. These forums are an insane asylum. I kept my appt but the receptionist keeps insisting the doctor is out. This forum should be the number one destination for all things destiny... yet it never has been. Go to twitter. Go to YouTube. Go anywhere but here. It absolutely makes no sense. Like everything about destiny since the start. It's a wrecklessly built house of cards that is going to tumble. Black armoury was crap. Destiny2 will not survive another year of this live-team seasons pass dreck. Start small. Take control of this forum, then the game. Everyone, and I mean everyone, has animosity built up (on some level) toward this game. It has always been brilliant and deeply flawed. After years of standing in place or turning slow about-face... I'm really getting saddened and in turn angry at Destiny/Bungie. Honestly, I'm not even sure destiny is a game any longer. Stop the stupid worthless comics and just make it a TV show or a netflix series to replace all the Marvel stuff that's leaving. Cause as currently constituted, as a game; it's broke.

If their own employees can't be on their own site, that is an issue. They have the capability to solve, but they do not. This is their website and they let it fall to crap because they let toxicity rule the forums. Instead of weeding it out, making it a safe place to ask questions, bring up new ideas, they straight up fled in their own website. (Overwatch has toxic forums, but they own it, they communicate with their players and on forums. You will even see Big Pappa Jeff converse with players and totally destroy toxic children) Cackled at your Chernobyl comment, excellent. XD

Can you imagine what would happen if a Bungie employee gave as good as they got on here? Can you imagine the months worth of hand-wringing and sobbing over [i]just how mean[/i] the horrible Bungie man was? I'm all for the Ninjas being unmuzzled tbh. I dont care if forum traffic drops through the floor, this place is an absolute saltfest.

Honestly there are 2 routes Bungie could take, if someone is being toxic give them a month ban, they will be silenced and maybe they learn and maybe they won't but if they act again, it becomes a longer ban and eventually they forget about the forums, or they forget about the game and leave which betters the community. Or they accept the way it is now and become Twitter Wendy's on their own forums, just -blam!-ing put kids down, it works for Overwatch but then again that game is more toxic then these forums 🤷♂️
