Braytech weapons
Is there any faster way to get the Braytech weapons for the Wayfarer title? The drop rate is beyond horrible.

6 RepliesEdited by ragnar: 2/10/2019 3:46:21 AMJust got Wayfarer this morning, reacquire each weapon, equip each weapon and shoot once or twice with each if you can, then turn in the schematic, that gave me 18 kelvins the only weapon I was missing, if that fails, complete the nascent dawn 1/5 quest on a second and third character because it gives you a braytech schematic each time. Also I recommend getting the braytech osprey from the Strange Terrain NF if you don't have it already I feel like if you have that missing from collections, it's harder to get the last weapon you need. Remember as well 5-10 nodes should give you 1 Schematic PER DAY, if you try grinding for more it decreases your chances of getting one the next day. Good luck! I literally spent one night and got auto rifle after two schematics. I checked reddit and they said only farm one schematic per character per day, this helped. If you get over 100,000 in the NF every run after that increases your chance by 10/20% my fireteam all got rocket launcher after 6 runs. I was lucky with sniper got that in in a few runs (all ep weapons in 29 completions) did all this in a week and got the title coz bored. Good luck 👍

Aside from the runs I did in the past, it took 34 Nightfalls to get the Osprey this weekend. I had a total of 5 friends who helped at different times and all of them got it twice while we ran them. I know 34 isn't a lot compared to what some others have done but no matter what -- it's stupid that anyone has to ask their friends to endure this kind of grind time when they have nothing to gain from it. It's an absolute waste of time for everyone, especially given the fact that it's a year 1 weapon that's practically obsolete and out classed.

They drop from schematics from sleeper nodes, I believe the schematics are limited to 1x per day before a big drop off, also if you equip all / any of the Braytech weapons you have when you decide the schematic it should cut down on duplicates

Hard lesson I also learned, you can only get one Schematic per day. I wasted 400 stems in one day because I didn’t know either.

Which is why I tell people to not even bother with titles. Pure hamster wheel with no pay off, just frustration. That elation you feel when you finally get it is the same people feel when they stop getting their butt kicked by their daily bully.

I had to run 95+ "Strange Terrain" NightFalls before that stupid Osprey rocket launcher dropped for my Wayfarer title. I also grinded that night fall for 8+ hours shortly after Warmind dropped trying for it with zero success. Probably I put 20 game play hours into this Night Fall just to get the stupid Rocket launcher so I could get my Title. Escalation Protocol took me 50 completions before the stupid Sniper would drop too. Bungie really needs to get it's Fecal Matter together and start putting absolute limits before you get some of these things to drop. For example, say 25 runs (or whatever is appropriate) of some activity and you get "that item" dropped, guaranteed. Enough of this RNG crap Bungie.

7 RepliesThe thing preventing me from getting the Wayfarer title is the Vouchsafe Dreaming City scout rifle. I've done tons of blind well, weekly bounties, shot corrupted eggs and ascendant challenges. Everything. I've had every other weapon and armor piece drop over a dozen times each. That's the one weapon that WILL. NOT. DROP.

I hate this. These stinking titles based on rng not to mention weapons that are from LAST SEASON! And are pretty much useless in terms of mods ...they should at this point be part of Ana brays loot pool.

How many frequency nodes have you unlocked whilst on Mars? All 40 ? Keep trying for the blueprints My Osprey/WinterWolf dropped on tbd same day (I've been searching for them since May)

It's just Bungie manipulating you to jack-up their numbers. They can say "Look, we had X number of players that played an average of X number of hours that month." The more hours they can manipulate you into playing, the better their numbers look. If you want a personal ornament then do a 100k+ nightfall and get an emblem and a Halo.
