God that sounds awful, sounds like casualness personified.

  • Compared to sweaty "I play every week non-stop and have earned 1 thing after days of farming so I can feel better" no-lifes who think that RNG makes them a better player because they got lucky?

  • They didn’t get lucky though, they played enough to work through the bad rng to get to the good rng. That’s the difference between the hardcore and casual fans, casuals want it all now, because they wanna go play something else, hardcore fans are quite happy to wait to get through the rng, as it gives them something to play for and reason to keep coming back. I’m not saying either is right, although I would always support the hardcore in this as it gives point to an otherwise pointless grind. Bungie job is to find the right balance, to give casuals what they want and to keep hardcore engaged. What you have to understand though is, when the casuals all leave for the next hype train, who’s left? The hardcore. So for me that’s who you make the game for, if there isn’t any people playing an always online game it’s not really much of a game. Gotta keep the hardcore interested, the casuals will be back next dlc.

  • And yet Destiny 1 was far superior in many of its decisions in Year 2 and beyond that catered to both the hardcore and casual. It's called finding a balance. So far all it's doing is making it so people who actually have variety in their gaming lives get less because they don't spend as much time as Bungie wants because they enjoy other games too. That's extremely petty and is a terrible practice that should not even be considered to be a good choice. It's almost literally crying for attention like a 2 year old.

  • Some people have to accept some things in this game, weren’t meant for them to access. We can’t all just get what we want, if you want it put the time and effort in.
