Xur needs to be reworked or removed. An exotic vendor was one of the worst ideas added. It kills the sense of discovery and devalues the hell out of exotics.

not really... he was added back in D1 because they didnt want exotic to just be for people that could NF with 3 characters or complete the raid every week... your talking for a place of privilege, put yourself in someones shoes were there new to get game and have no friends so they cant play the raid or NF xur gives them an endgame were they grind every week for coins then at the end of the week they would try to find him and see what he had for them... we dont have that in D2.

Xur was part on D1 at launch. He was never added, he's always been. That being said, Xur's original purpose was to act as a foil to bad RNG. Unfortunately streamers and no-lifers complained because this also meant that there was a way regular players could get exotics that they "earned"(got lucky). Now Xur has been left behind. It's unfortunate that he's been ruined and his true purpose forgotten.

With all due respect, but that sounds worse. We'd be farming for currency just so we walk up to the guy and hold down a button and have the exotic just handed to us. How am i talking from a place of privilage when i got my first MIDA after a crucible match, or TLW from a BLUE engram. It's part of the game experience, so my chances were literally the same as anyone else's.

well lets just remove all RNG from the game and make everything tied to quests... sorry but again your not the only person playing this game not everyone can roll the dice so they rely on token farming and they have fun doing that.

Not everyone can roll the dice? All i did was PLAY. Token/currency farming was their answer to the outcry of the less dedicated players with entitlement mentality. Havint a vendor sell the most coveted items for some coins just cuz someone cant be bothered to play and wants everything handed to them is bad for the overall health or the game. It's the sole reason Y1 of D2 turned out the way it was.
