No, Bungie needs to get off their butts and make a decent in-game content.
Putting a lot of the things that we used to acquire through events in Tess inventory was a dumb decision. This game does not need any more handouts like Tess that most of the cosmetics are worthless. Bungie should go back to D1 and see how certain things worked for the game.
The raids have weekly challenges that offered ornaments among other items that were worth acquiring. There are options when it comes to adding items to the game like the Catalyst that does not need to be handed out.

Handouts? ........... I don’t think using real money to buy things could be called at hand out. I think that Xur should get back to what he does best selling exotics instead of -blam!-wit’s placing them behind quest that involve pvp

The items in Tess inventory that are cosmetics should be handed out like candy period on how Bungie is using Tess to make a profit. The vendors, the events etc... is where the items like the cosmetics should be applied throughout this entire game make the games content useful like D1, on how the in-game content was designed that gave part of that incentive to run certain content. Xur was useful in D1 because of how many exotics were added to the game, and he also had an (actual inventory vs D2 Xur that literally has an empty inventory,) mainly because how dry the loot pool actually is in this entire game. D2 Xur should have, quest, bounties etc.. but he doesn't and it makes him useless in this game more than anything else. Bungie didn't add the new exotics to Xur in Forsaken because how little that actually is and adding them to Xur? gamers would have had them all by now. So adding other things that should have been (addressed a year ago) like the catalyst that Bungie never really dealt with or Removed factions that you can not get one catalyst is lazy development.

The problem is everyone complained about Destiny 1 in virtually every way without giving any concept of specification or feedback, so Bungie had to guess and ruined it. Then they fixed it, then ruined it again, and haven't fixed it again and here we are. Although to be fair, they did fix a lot for Forsaken, but more or less all of it wasn't broken, and was in turn ruined.

I disagree with this. Many gamers did give info that was plain and clear, what Bungie did was ignore most of it and mainly paid attention to PvP request. The issue with that was, them not paying attention to what actually needed to be improved until y2 of D1 when things started changing for the better. The cores are a prime example of them not listening to the community or anyone for that matter but themselves. Gamers Only asked for the catalyst drop rates to be decreased given them a better chance on acquiring them like running strikes. Gamers also asked about the cores for a masterwork Only. What did Bungie hear that No one asked for? Oh, you want cores to be part of the infusion. IMO that is asinine the way they went about it without getting any form of feedback from the player base. Reason being is Bungie has a huge problem of changing things no one asked for that were never broken in the first place for their own personal needs, that is just plain out wrong. The lack of communication with this company is absurd and they have acted this way for 4 years now. It's not that the community hasn't been giving legit feedback, great ideas, suggestions etc... it's Bungie just doing things their way and not taking the player base into consideration. Their actions prove that.

Ornaments are not lol :) I get looking for the catalyst, but don't get seeing then handed out through Xur.

The raids only got that at the end of its life time when ALL the raids were out

And D2 raids got diddly-squat vs D1 raids and that's the point here.

Edited by Gilgamesh: 2/9/2019 4:20:14 AMD2 is 2 years old with 5 raids and Destiny 1 ended with 3 years and had 4 raids the game was at the wnd of its life cycle so unless D2 is at the end you wont see raid cosmetics like that and weekly raids. Edit: That is most definitely not your point

Bungie had the entire D1 to learn from that, just VoG with everything it offered puts all 5 of D2 raids to shame when it comes to the in-game content. Handing things out like Tess actually does and Xur does nothing for a game vs a raid that is running an event that gives that incentive like D1 to acquire the items it offered. Please don't pretend you knew what I was referring to because you clearly did not.

You dont know what your talking about tess gives nothing out but cosmetics its not a major thing in D1 xur sold them guaranteed and your complaining about him. Your complaining about hand outs and xur right now isnt handing anything out

FYI, cosmetics are part of the in-game content. I was simply referring to how D1 in-game content was designed throughout the entire game that is 10× better than D2 in-game content. Do yourself a favor and learn what is actually being said before you make a reply.
