I was using Verity's Brow today during some Vanguard Strikes. I specifically was trying to see if it had yet become a viable piece of exotic-armor for the Warlock yet. So I began testing.
Keep in mind that the helmet is supposed to boost the Warlock's grenade-recharge with every energy-weapon kill. Now technically this should include kills from both the energy-weapon slot and heavy as both weapon slots contain energy-weapons. But I won't even pretend that I expected that theory to hold true, and it didn't.
But what I found more interesting was the fact that in half a dozen strikes I was absolutely unable to detect any change in the grenade recharge-rate at all. I even switched to my Last Dance since this week's Vanguard Strikes are modded with Arc-burn. I would say that 90% of my kills during every strike consisted of energy-weapon kills from my Last Dance.
It didn't matter if I sat and watched the meter directly as I got kills, I could not visibly detect any change whatsoever in the rate that my grenade-ability would recharge.
Now I'd be lying if I said that my methods were scientific. I didn't even use a stop-watch. But remember that I said I was completely unable to notice a visible change. If the Verity's Brow is actually functioning then that would mean that the increase is probably less than 5% which is absolutely abysmal for an exotic. I'm fairly certain that the low usage of this exotic will backup my claims as well.
I honestly think that the Verity's Brow is not working as intended. Please verify and adjust accordingly.
Can anyone else corroborate my findings?

Also ophdian aspects appear to be bugged too, and or they got ninja nerfed at some point after forsaken dropped.

3 RepliesThanks for all the input, guys. I see a lot of people stating that it's supposed to be used with a particular gun or subclass. To put it plainly; no it isn't. What it appears you have found is a way to make an otherwise broken-game mechanic, somewhat functional. This forum exists so that these issues can be resolved, when found. What possible good comes from preventing these corrections simply because you found a way around the disconnect? Bungie is very open to the community's suggestions and bug-reporting. As far as the helmet is concerned, if the exotic doesn't specifically state that it's intended for one subclass, then it's intended for all three. This is true for every other exotic armor-piece in the game. As far as I know, no exotic armor has ever been specifically intended for use with a single exotic gun. It's great that the community has found "workarounds" for this shortcoming. But workarounds are temporary due to broken-processes. We should allow Bungie to address it accordingly.

5 RepliesIf you're not using devour, you're doing it wrong

Base grenade recharge =50 seconds. 3 energy weapon kills with verity's brow on makes that recharge 15 seconds. It is very noticable. Even better with devour grenade and verity's brow.

I see a lot of people either don’t have a lot experience on d2 or are noobs not only that’s the best exotic for gambit (a less u have Goemag) but the exotic is meant to synergies with riskrunner , how to use the exotic go watch a video on yt
-
1 ReplyI used it during Warmind and I can confirm that it's either bugged or it's recharge rate is abysmal.
-
Another thing is that exotic buffs recharge rate for your team as well that’s why is not extremely noticeable much but cose it pairs so good with riskrunner and u always killing more than 2-3 enemies at time u get granade recharged less than in 10 seconds, but like I said is extremely good for gambit
-
That exotic is extremely good with riskrunner few granade recharge mods and chaos reach use granade to hurt yourself to and activate riskrunner perk and u unstoppable, extremely good on gambit, give it a try
-
Half the buffs and debuffs in this game are placebos.
-
It’s a slight change but is very noticeable with devout active

1 ReplyThere are three types of weapons/slots: Kinect Energy Heavy Elements don’t play a part if a weapon is an Energy weapon or not, an Energy weapon is specifically in the Energy/Secondary slot. So obviously it wouldn’t work with heavy weapons. Anyway I haven’t tried it in ages but I do remember it working correctly when I first got it and tried it out, knowing Bungie though something probably got changed in a patch which broke it
-
I haven't tried this one out, but does it only work on weapons using green ammo? I feel like there are some issues with kinetic/energy vs primary/special
-
Bumping for awareness. This is one of the problems I have with Bungie: that they don’t look back on exotics outside of the ongoing meta nor update them and their perks.

Why would you think it works correctly? We'll look into it after we ignore the hundred other things wrong with this game. If I were you I'd just play division 2 beta this weekend - Bungle
