Bungie Please Read! Here’s how to fix Crucible

This will drastically improve the pvp experience for players of all skill levels, leave the weapon/subclass balancing alone until the core problem is resolved. Carry’s, recoveries and smurfs in comp will be almost non-existent. I have Luna, Mountain Top, Recluse and a 2.5 KDA. I’m not great but I don’t suck, I’m not an elitest looking to pubstomp all day and shit on the bad players nor am I a casual looking to change pvp to favor me. These proposed changes are 100% non biased, I just want pvp to be fun and balanced (no dedicated servers doesnt mean its a lost cause). [b][u]All Playlist Changes:[/u][/b] -100% CBMM across all of crucible -Equal Fireteam Matchmaking -Competitive pinnacle weapons to only be allowed in QP after reaching 2100/5500 in the current season -Invincible after spawn animation for 2 seconds and revive overshield removed -No player info/player count when matchmaking -Verified DDOS results in permanent ban -Light advantage disabled across all modes (including IB) -[u]Heavy Ammo:[/u] --Ammo for all within 10 meters --Non Round Based Mode: 160 second timer at 2 locations --Round Based Mode: 120 second timer at 2 locations [u]Inconsistent Internet Penalty[/u] -Non Competitive: --24 Hours -Competitive: --Ban: 1 Week/1 Month/2 Months --Appropriate loss of glory/quest progress --Resets after 20 consecutive games without issue [b][u]Featured Weekly Playlist:[/u][/b] -REMOVED -Doubles added as permanent playlist -Mayhem added as permanent playlist [b][u]Competitive Changes:[/u][/b] -Gain/Lose 75 glory per game across all ranks -Gain/Lose 150 glory in the first 10 games of a new season -No decay, weekly bonus or win streak bonus -Glory Parameters of +/- 750 when forming fireteam -Overall glory of opposing teams must be within 1000 glory -Competitive is 6v6 with Control, Clash and Supremacy -Must be within 100 of light cap to enter [u]-Punishment for Leaving:[/u] --2 Hours/24 Hours/1 Week/1 Month --2x Glory Loss (Normal Glory loss if the left behind team wins) --Penalty Tiers reset after 20 consecutive games without leaving --Rejoining is available for 3 minutes, abandoned team can leave after 3 minutes with no penalty (aside from glory loss) [b][u]QP/IB Changes:[/u][/b] -QP modes are Control, Clash and Supremacy -IB to replace the QP playlist and consist of Control, Clash and Supremacy [b][u]Trials:[/u][/b] -3v3 Elimination -Pre-made fireteam required to enter matchmaking -Wins on scorecard don’t factor in towards matchmaking -9 wins for flawless + 1 loss boon (can be activated before any game) -Matchmaking after going flawless on the same character within the same week will match you with similar players -Flawless rewards emblems, ornaments, curated rolls and a MUCH higher quantity of loot -Loot awarded at 5/7/9 wins -1 Weekly Bounty per character [b][u]New Skirmish Mode:[/u][/b] -4v4 Countdown, Survival, Breakthrough, Showdown and Lockdown

  • All EXCELLENT suggestions. I've had some of my own that pretty much line up with these. Maybe to accommodate some of the harder to comply with suggestions, Bungie can create a tiered ladder type system. This might at least work for players who solo queue. Bracket Glory ranks in a way that stratifies the skill levels so that similarly skilled players can only match with each other. Add harsh penalties for cheaters to clear those lists out of the scumbags. If a 'good' player wants to team up with less skilled players, that's cool, but they will match with the highest ranked player in their FT. That wouldn't necessarily prevent recovs from gaming the system, but if they limit the ranking system to only a few games (3 or so), then it would reduce the chance that recovs could take advantage. All in all, I think you got it about right!

  • I think you’re going off the assumtion that the player base in D2 is pretty high i love you’re post. But i think these are the points that are not going to be fix and why... - Comp 6v6 conection base, 6v6 might be to difficulte. - internet connection, destiny doesnt have qualty servers, so how can you ask the poppulation to have good internet. ( cost/ benefit ) to low for Bungie. - ddos no permanent server, hard to tell if its a ddos or just a connection problem. - Punishment for leaving is simple, even now @lyncher post. You see that nobody want’s to go for te not forgotten due to the fact that the only ppl playing at that rank are top thier players, how did iT come to that. When top thier players ( tourney players ) keep holding there top posittion ppl cant get the item, so they give up. After they gave up only ( current State ) top thier players play top thier players. And Bungie did the correct thing here make Sure those ppl only play Each other so solo players can more easy get the Luna howl, because they won’t match the top thier. Due to matchmaking. - trails no match making, Will Make ppl leave the game before starting ppl are statistic horney, so when they de that there team is worse then the other they Will try again. - trails full card play players with full cards, trust me this Will lead to recv sky rocketing. And result in the comp playlist like we have now. Implement the way trails worked at the beginning of D2 with a boon so you van have a loss. That was fine, about the change of the game mode i think you are correct. Love this post for the most part

    • Great post, literally everything would be better than what we have now,bungie has managed to turn even pvp into a grind activity.

      Awesome, especially the comp ones. However, it should not be 6v6. 4v4 is good. And the modes are good, but survival should be added.
