60+ ascendant challenges without the ghost shell
I’ve done the ascendant challenge on all characters for the last 21 weeks, and I’ve still not gotten the ghost shell, is there another way to get it?

I’ve done every ascendant challenge since Forsaken released and also can’t get the Starlight Shell. It’s all I need for Cursebreaker. I finally got One Eyed Mask 5 months and a day after Forsaken released only to find out a day later it’s getting nerfed. I honestly can’t find a reason to log in and play. I knew as soon as it dropped it was too good to be true. I’m just glad there’s so many other good games out ATM. D1 and D2 have been my all time favorite games but Bungie always finds ways to run people off. 😐

10 RepliesRNG tied to the titles is honestly asinine. I still need the sparrow, ship, and pulse from the dreaming city. The abysmally low drop rate on the ship, sparrow, and ghost shell are enough to make one insane on their own! But we can’t even get the chance for RNG to screw us over if they never put The Corrupted in the NF rotation.

Finally got mine yesterday there is some hope for you. FYI it came from the ascendant challenge chest like everyone says it does. I wouldn't chase my tail doing other random stuff on the Dreaming city. Good luck.

13 RepliesI play on PS4 and XB1, and no Osprey drop on EITHER account. 220k first runs, many speed runs....many. No damn drop for either account, same with wife's as well. I get that RNG is fickle, but this seems rigged. Seriously. And they claim the drops are "normal"? Bullshit.

Go to Bellevue and go postal? Chasing down something that is truly cosmetic for a cosmetic title for five months is absurd. They [i]can[/i] do better. Current state Destiny RNG is not going to go down in the history books as the epitome of looter shooter reward systems. Flat, unmitigated RNG is ugly and frustrating and causes issues just like this one. If Destiny is strictly a looter shooter, they need to stop with collections. The emphasis on getting an item for the sake of having the item is too strong to keep handling it the way they do.

It's ABSURD that any title hangs on RNG. It doesn't keep players interested and playing, it just makes us bitter and ready to move on to a game that doesn't pull this shit. Honestly I care less about my ghost than I do about a friend not getting the 1K voices yet. Our core raid team did all the challenges together, including a no-cheese Petra's run and all of us except 1 have the Rivensbane title. 1 clanmate now has 59 clears on that frigging raid and still not got the 1k voices. It's absurd a title is locked behind absolute SHIT RNG like that! Titles should be about accomplishments, not luck! Good going Bungie... keep driving your most loyal players away.

Or just anything. This game is great but it’s infuriating running the same thing time after time and everyone getting what I need and I’m just left to continue to indefinitely grind it out.
