balancing supers?

I'm all for having fun supers etc. but if you compare the new bottom tree striker to post nerf nova warp for example why would I ever use nova warp?? This thing lasts forever while nova warp has basically become very under powered. Feel free to share thoughts and opinions but there seems to be a massive problem balancing things out between classes. I'm a Titan main for the most part but I know my warlock brethren aren't too happy atm

    Well think of it like this, every titan super is pretty much ad clear. Bottom tree striker being buffed allows it to more properly kill trash mobs, making it the best choice for ad clear. However, it has no fire power for dps or anything of the sort. It's long duration eventually wears on it as you stop generating orbs and eventually you are just doing something normal guns will do after a while. It's still incredibly useful, but that kind of spam kind of becomes irrelevant outside of making your life easier. Nova warp, although not a good super for much anymore, still has a fantastic neutral game and a super that does semi decent damage. Bottom tree striker does less damage than nerfed nova warp if you compare the explosion to the slam. This difference makes nova warp, a little better at killing tankier targets. But in the end, with the titans already heavy focus on ad clear and sheer lack of dps supers, it only really has sentinel as a contender. Top tree striker does some good damage, but it's not very fast at doing it. Burning maul can only hit ground targets and if you don't stagger the targets, quake time, it's good at killing tough ads though. Normal sunbreaker kind of just has some solid range and power. So to basically summarize what I've said, yes bottom tree is better for ad clear than nova warp is (I mean...it already WAS but whatever) but it's lack of power per ad, without something like synthoceps, makes it rather weak at its job, something nova warp still kind of has is power (not much, but it's there). The only real super to compare bottom tree fist of havoc to would be to things like storm caller or dawnblade, supers that are more designed for consistent ad clearing. Nova warps nerf also doesn't change that you would still need a titan for that to be possible, and in most endgame content, titans can pretty much only run sunbreaker and sentinel, because they not only are better at killing tougher targets, they are also more efficient at it. If you compare them during the same scenarios, it would be difficult to actually say one is better than the other due to time and what not. Besides, nobody really used nova warp in pve. In pve, it's pretty much subclasses that regen their own supers, deal high damage, or have great ad clear potential. Bottom tree has great ad clear potential, but not any better potential in things like raids where ad spawns can be limited...in which case something like nova warp that could wipe waves in an instant vs one at a time, would then make it more apparent which can be more useful. If there's constant ads, striker is better. If there is a limit and they are tankier, nova warp was better.

  • Have you tired Nova Bomb in PvP it’s so goo........ apparently bungie is trying see how long they can leave nova bomb complete garbage before people are at their door with torch’s and pitch forks because they ain’t doing a f*cking thing to nova bomb at the moment.

  • Have you tried the new six-shooter on a bunch of ads? I used to wait for a stronger enemy,but now I shoot ads more often
