Give MIDA a Kill Clip Masterwork...or something
For real, it needs a better catalyst that actually enhances the weapon in some way. MIDA doesn’t even need outlaw when it’s got one of the fastest reloads in the game already. Kill clip is one perk that seems like it could be a really good addition. Or maybe firefly? More impact? Explosive Payload? Just something that’s better than outlaw...
Edit: I guess I have to clarify (since I guess some people don’t have the best reading comprehension) that this post isn’t asking for a MIDA buff. All it’s doing is bringing up the fact that the weapon’s masterwork is pointless and does nothing to enhance it, therefore I threw out a bunch of random suggestions for different perks or stat upgrades that I think would enhance MIDA better. Of course, some of those may not be the best ideas, but I’m throwing them out there anyways, they’re ideas after all.

11 RepliesI'd prefer a Catalyst that actually played into the theme of the weapon. Slapping Kill Clip or Firefly or Rampage on there is all well and good but it doesn't fit in with the theme of the MIDA; speed and radar. (the theme of speed was probably why Outlaw was chosen in the first place.) I'd prefer stuff like: - Kills with MIDA greatly increase movement speed for a short time. - Increased radar distance. - A new perk which combines Freehand Grip and Moving Target for even faster strafe speed and better hipfire. - Getting a precision hit with MIDA sends out a single radar pulse (like with Wish Ender) that very briefly reveals enemy locations. Just a few ideas I thought of off the top of my head.

3 RepliesMost useless catalysts in order: Mida, Sweet Business, Vigilance Wing (full-auto sucks). I would like to have seen something more stat altering with Mida, like a small bump to range and stability (+10). Outlaw was an idiotic choice, and that person should be taken out back and beaten savagely with a hose.

The only change that MIDA needs for its catalyst is to have its dropped rate attainable at 2100. Or hell, even allow it a small % chance to drop in Quickplay as well. I mean....the Catalyst is crap...sooooo....I see no reason why it shouldn't drop a little more easily. MIDA is decent still, but no where near godly anymore. Come on and lighten up Bungie.

Avionics trawl: improved accuracy/damage on airborne (jumping/flying/skating) targets. The opposite of Icarus grip or whatever it's called now.

Give it Battle Runner! It's a D1 perk that gives you increased movement speed after killing for a short time. Would've been better than Outlaw.

That's why I feel like it's catalyst is meh and why I don't see it changing. I haven't bothered upgrading it. It's useless as is.
