Its always been on my mind why primary weapons dont have elemental burns like we had in D1.
I just cant understand why we dont have them in D2 ?

Because elemental primaries go in the energy slot.

17 RepliesI think you're getting a bit confused. Primary is now an ammo type, not weapon slot. Because we can equip anything thats not a rocket launcher, sword, or linear fusion in our energy slot we don't need elemental weapons in that first slot. Thats why it's the kinetic weapon slot now, not the primary slot like in D1.

1 ReplyThat's why we need the Zhalo Supercell back, for starters.

Because in d1 weapons were separated in groups like "primary, special and heavy" but now its split into "kinetic, energy and heavy" if a kinetic weapon had an element, it wouldn't be kinetic. Which is why we don't have fusion rifles in our kinetic slot, but we do have snipers and shotguns. We have energy primaries, they just go in the energy slot.

Kinetic weapons do more damage to health bars vs energy does better against shields. If certain kinetic weapons have a special element, the default is to just use them only, like in year 1 destiny.

There's a great deal of "elemental" primaries. There's a whole weapon slot dedicated to it.

14 RepliesBecause elemental weapons are in the energy and power weapon slots. Kinetic guns go in the kinetic slot

15 RepliesWhat? There a tons of elemental primaries.
