oh awesome ty, a friend said i needed to finish the sniper to start the next forge. not that it matters really, like you said its bugged still.

Yeah sadly, hope it's fixed soon but it has been a day so far it has been bugged. As for your friend I can absolutely say he's incorrect as I've been running gofannon but also have the quest item in my inventory for the next forge since it dropped for me during a public event just outside the cave to gofannon in the hallows, been working on the quest since but compared to the first 2 forges the quest is longer and slightly more difficult.
