I have no problem with the Quest involving PVP, that’s fine and something that makes sense so don’t think this is callin for it to be removed or anything like that. This is illustrating the issues with having loss based mechanics to questlines and how it can be a really really bad experience.
But the loss penalty is just horrendous. Playing one match got me to 33% with a good game and 1.71 K/D. However in the next match there was serious issues with lag and players were invulnerable, some of whom had been in the match before but mysteriously now were nigh on invincible - ended up leaving before match finished as I was 2 defeats (one an assist) and 15 deaths and knew this was impacting progress.
Checked the quest and had dropped to 14%
So in one bad match lost 19%, that’s just demoralising and demotivating - another match like that and it’s back to 0. Also the numbers don’t add up, by what’s been mentioned it should’ve been maybe 12% drop but it would seem the 1% for a loss is not actually accurate.
Keep the kill requirement but dear lord stop the progress reduction - especially with the crappy network and damage referee manipulation
