The stupidity is unbearable ....
Let me summarize: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PVP WEAPON. Can you please all stop this? There is no PVP weapons or PVE weapons in Destiny never was and never will be.
People saying this and using this as an argument are not right in their mind.
The quest is stupid, wrong and not fun. It does not matter what weapon, the game dynamics and motivation are wrong! It is that simple.

The gun isn’t “PvP only”, but you’d be crazy to use it instead of something like kindled orchid or nation of beasts in PvE.

As much as humanly possible I avoid pvp. Even I can see that the last word is a pvp weapon. It is seriously of little use in pve. If you don’t believe me, take it into scourge or a forge and see how it compares to the weapons you usually use there. Ive tested it in both, in case there was some hidden perk that made it useful in a way it never was in d1 pve. Nope.
