Feedback Request: Snipers

Hey all, Cozmo and I are currently collecting some feedback on Sniper Rifles. We have been for some time, but we wanted to centralize the source of feedback to an extent. Do you have feedback on Sniper Rifles? Are there any QOL style improvements that you'd want for this weapon archetype? What currently works well, and what would you want to see changed? This does not guarantee any specific changes will be made, but we wanted to ensure your thoughts are properly represented when we pass feedback along to the team. Quick note, Rapid Fire Sniper Rifles will be receiving a buff tomorrow. Currently, Guardians require 3 body shots to be defeated, tomorrow this will be reduced to 2 body shots. With that in mind, are there any other changes you'd like to see? Cheers, -dmg04

  • I don’t think snipers need a buff so much as more opportunities to be used as far as PvP goes. The maps are quite close quarters, which encourages shotguns and aggressive play over sniping.

  • Reduce flinch in PvE Buff damage in PvE Lessen recoil in PvE Remove PvP from the game 😂

    • Increased damage in pve Decreased flinch in pve and or pvp We need a pinnacle sniper thats good for both activities

    • Definitely need less flinch. I almost can't tell a difference from when I use "unflinching sr aim" and when I don't. I would like some more "middle" options. Everything now is either super low impact, low range, larger mags, OR super high impact, high range, smaller mags. Where are the 1000 Yard Stares? The LDRs? Same goes for scouts. No one wants these low impact Vouchsafes that hit like a pillow. Or the jumpy clunky Cut and Runs.

    • I think the main issue everyone has is flinch. Please turn it down just a little bit for us, to add more variety and ability to outplay shotguns

    • Snipers need to have i pinacle perk. Box breathing was that perk but after the nerf it has become nearly useless. We used to dps with snipers now we barely use any.

    • My feedback on snipers is to put shotguns back in power slot.

    • Please buff box breathing on snipers. Either revert it back to the way it was before 2.0, or give it a ton more precision damage (like 3x more).

    • Hi guys, Please can you adjust the flinch on Sniper Rifles to be less punishing? It's the main reason I don't use them much anymore. Also, the pull back when firing is over the top. Would like a sturdy Sniper without the back lash. Lastly, bring back Icebreaker. Thank you :)

    • Reduce flinch, decrease zoom Also, would moving DARCI to the special slot as is be too much? Theres plenty of other weapons in the special slot that out DPS it and I havent seen anyone using DARCI since Whisper came out.

    • Flinch. Definitely flinch!! If you are shot once, unless the reticle bounces into their head, or they miss the next few shots, it’s impossible to snipe them

    • My biggest issue is flinch , just reduce it a little because I just dismantle them or they sit in the vault to collect dust.

    • Redude flinch and we'll be happy. It's way to hard to challenge in a lot of situation making agressive plays really hard to do.
