17 RepliesI got to level 650 on the titan, and almost that on my hunter without playing more than 20 matches of crucible for all of D2 since day 1. Crucible is just a bunch of reddit builds, running like a blind machine, following the same mentality behind the raids and puzzles, which is to do it with calculators and computers. The entire system on destiny at the moment caters to those who dont just want to enjoy something, they want to enjoy MORE of it than others. Youve got hard core players suggesting that casuals (anyone who isnt enthralled by every decision bungie makes) have no place in the game. I guess you 1 percenters can fund it using your stream money, since thats a thing now. Everyone uses the same build, everyone is joe guardian. Basically you're testing your ability to look up reddit tips. Look yall can enjoy your pretend glory ranks, i will just continue killin aliens and look at yall funny when a perfectly good gun suddenly becomes useless for no reason. Yall are killin me with this shit for real. None of you so called hard core people who wish casuals out of the game ever played halo in the early days Bungie was literally funded by casuals.. 30 seconds of fun...look it up Highschoolers were the main player base of halo 2 and up. Thats the definition of casual. Halo kicked ass and was for casuals, so, yall keep leaning towards this streamer centric game style and you will lose not only the funding, but the spirit and style that make people intrigued...guess what, when casuals dont want to play...they also stop wanting to watch. Those viewers you so cater to will dissappear when another game comes along and garners the casual crowds love... Casual meaning the nurses, lawyers, teachers, military, or anyone else who soends more money on real life goals than destiny triumphs.

Yup, there's a "Glory Hole" in PvP . .

1 ReplyEdited by SINECURE53: 1/29/2019 1:56:23 PMI keep saying this and the idiots on here respond with git gud or its just an anomaly. Bullshit this happens way too often.
-
When did you play? If you play at night, when almost no one is on, this stuff happens more
-
2 Repliesthat would explain my 20 win streak followed by a 11 loss streak... and i was so close to getting luna as well... sucks to be solo.
-
1 ReplyI only wish to have humans as teammates in my team, because 90% of games I play with vegetables. But once per 30 games I got mosters who know metas and how to play every competitive mode. It really gives me depression after 5 games with me on 1st place while my teammates do 3-5 kills per game.
-
Edited by Demon_XXVII: 1/28/2019 11:28:30 PMAye, it put me (with my 80 Glory points) in a team of solos, then put a 2x2 teams of Luna/NF wielding 2500+ Glorydians up against us (Hunter, Showdown, Javelin4, Jan24th) Bungles new 'glory points' matchmaking working at its finest!
-
The 5400 and the 140 along with the rest of the team probably was close enough to the average of the other team. How easy is that to manipulate. People complained that the glory of players needed to be balanced in order for it to be "fair", regardless of where the players are located in the world. You can blame the extra lag on playing against foreign players. Low TTK + 250 ping. How is that competitive. Sometimes you'll get killed before you even see your opponent. If you can't match on a domestic connection, it just shouldn't match you. Alternatively, allow players to search using a connection criteria. Most players would rather not find a match than to find a match with a massive connection disadvantage (at least when wins and losses count towards the completion of a quest).
-
Had some of those matches a while back. That was the end of me and comp play list. Good to see nothing has changed.
-
Lol. And they said a week or 2 ago it was fixed for the most part. Good old Bungie.
-
I would love to see bungos explanation for this one.
-
1 ReplyI started doing competitive last week. I had avoided it because I personally am not a fan of Countdown... I’m an average player and the more PvP I play the better I’m getting. BUT Last night I went on an epic losing streak and was paired against some absolute killers. Five matches, five losses; three of them had teammates drop out because it was that ugly. The matchmaking was definitely not working. I played last weekend and had an honestly fun time winning AND losing as I was matched against players of similar caliber. TLDR: close wins and losses = good Getting wiped the fack out = bad
-
What makes this kinda crap system even worse, is now do you think those low glory players are gonna step foot into comp again?
-
-
go furthermore in quickplay and slaughter the bad https://destinytracker.com/d2/pgcr/3549983235

1 ReplyFor anyone too lazy to look the guys up: Alpha Team: - 2,532 - 3,078 - 3,950 - 4,688 Team Average: 3,562 Bravo Team: - 234 - 0 - 5,313 - 110 Team Average: 1,414 Want to take a guess at which team won?
-
3 RepliesDid you get to 5400 solo? If yes, than that's even more impressive than how horrible this matchmaking was.
-
I think I know what happened since your 5,000+ the game put you into what they call a carry match where they expect since your a higher light than the other team and all your team memebers you have to carry that match.
-
PvP numbers and PVE for that matter are very very low right now D2 is dying... The system will try and match you with others at your level but thats on a timer when it cannot find enough people of equal level to fill the teams it will then just find anyone that is what you are seeing here.... PVP is in the worst state it has ever been in since launch but the vocal minority refuse to accept this and all that is happening is the casuals and midcore players are leaving... which makes up 90% of the community.

Working as intended - Bungle
-
Shhhh working as intended
-
1 ReplyLmao i thought this was bullshit until i clicked on their names A 4060 glory vs a 240 glory. This game is so broken
-
Dear lord, that must've been a fun game... Don't you just love how almost all of them are rocking a DRB and Luna's/not forgotten?
-
Things like that happen when 97-98% of the playerbase don't play Comp and see it as a complete waste of time. The longer the matchmaking takes, the less likely you'll get an even match. Comp should just be removed from the game at this point.
-
6 RepliesMatchmaking is not broke. I am sure there is a time limit, where if a match is not found, they just put you with anyone no filters applied
-
Hahaha! I had something similar. It's the hardcore peeps passing through, and THEY ARE good. Just back out for like 10 minutes and get some cores, go back in lol.
