I have died way to many times because i couldn't move into cover due to some random teammate deciding they didn't want to move out of the way. I know Bungie could implement this fairly easily because if you go into something like a patrol, the random players you find are able to be passed right through so all they would have to do is add that to PvP.

If you could pass or shoot through teammates that would be easily exploitable. For example, some guy with a sniper or heavy weapon stands behind a teammate so the enemy team can't see the "light" that shows someone has heavy ammo.

Edited by CannyJack: 1/28/2019 3:15:07 PMHonest question: if you can pass through teammates, you could (conceivably) stand "inside" or occupy the same space as another teammate. In that situation, in a PVP encounter, how do you resolve who gets shot? Both people? I hate getting shoved into a lane or blocked out of a move by a collision as much as anybody, I'm just not sure how you figure out that one issue. Are there other games that handle that elegantly?

1 ReplyI just hate getting pushed into sniper lanes from behind when I'm running to B to try to grab heavy, because the person behind me also wants heavy. Nothing more fun than getting pushed into a sniper lane, nearly killing the opposing team's heavy runner but dying, only to have the person who pushed me into the sniper lane in the first place managing to killsteal _and_ grab heavy. This is in large part due to the way heavy drops work in D2: I miss D1 heavy spawn where we all tried to work as a team and only grab the heavy when enough of our team was nearby...or if an enemy was headed our way (probably with a Fist of Panic). D2 heavy ammo spawn just makes people selfish and promotes enmity between teammates instead of cooperation.

This 100%. The amount of times someone has either gotten me killed or made me waste ammo/grenades is ridiculous, too many times.

Edited by Astynax: 1/28/2019 8:03:56 PMYeah super piss off when: 1. I'm aiming a sniper and a dumb teammate bumps me to make me miss my shot 2. firing a grenade launcher/rocket and an idiot runs in front of me to have it blow up in my face killing me, yet they take no damage and no shits given 3. same w Nova Bomb where they block my shot (or also kills me in the process) but again no shits given by them 4. Throwing a grenade and they bump me so it just hits a doorway instead, hits me instead or just blows up midair. Even worse w shit like pulse grenades that also flinch me on top of the damage and wasted grenade

1 ReplySo annoying especially when you're trying to get heavy ammo and your own teammate (most commonly Titans because of shoulder charge) pushes you away so they can take it themselves... which is another thing needed in PvP, make heavy like in D1 Crucible to where it gives it to all allies near it

Yeah I especially hate it when I'm fully behind cover and my teammate tries to hide in the same cover only to push me out of it and die to the enemy. I've had this happen so many times and they even do it when I drop my rift (warlock player here). It's very frustrating that your own teammates can push you out of cover to get shot at because they want to hide in the same cover.

Team collision doesn't just need to be turned off, it needs to be put to the sword.

2 RepliesPositioning is an important factor in PVP; learn it or lose.

Yup bunch of u blueberries love to hold my hand whenever I pick up heavy and just either block shots or block your escape route. Don’t @ me unless u have nf
-
Just like grenades being stuck in mid air because an idiot jumps in front of you.

Teanmate collision should be disabled on every activity, period. I dunno if you played D1, but this gave people many headaches on King's Fall, since after returning from the "arena" the "exceptionally capable" (irony intended) devs made all the members of the fireteam spawn on the same location. This made that if ANYONE in the fireteam did anything (reloading a gun or move for example), other fireteam member would be launched 300 miles per hour at a random direction. Which usually made said guy die "by the architects". As any mechanic, when the devs don't know how to implement it, it becomes more of a nuisance than a mechanic.

2 RepliesNot sure for pure PvP, but it also works in Gambit, when two team-mates can collide mid-air, avoiding different danger (or propelled by it - phalanxes are notorious for their shield bash), only to inevitably decelerate and to fall into that molten lava on Kell's Grave. Blargharhahdbabl. *bubbles* Tunnel vision sucks.

I find it more annoying in PvE activities really. Why should I die in a Strike because my teammate jumped into me instead of besides me on a platform? Also, don't revive anyone near a ledge because instant death again for them. My favorite is McSpeedy on is sparrow who send you flying into a wall faster than a Taken Phalanx.

Just happened to me then actually. Copped a Jotunn because a team mate came running up beside me as I tried to side stepz

I don't agree.

It's only your teammates ' problem.
