I wish progression worked like this:
PvE
• story/ adventures would get the player to soft cap
• strikes would get the player to raid/ nightfall level
• raid/ nightfall would be at max light but the rewards would be best of the best
PvP
• quick play/ competitive would get player to soft cap
• Iron Banner/ PvP based events would get player raid ready (equivalent)
• Trails would be equivalent to raid gear
This would allow players to progress in the manner they want and would have a clear path of progression. Quests could have an option (upon receiving said quest) to choose between a PvP or PvE challenges. Exotics would always drop slightly higher then the players overall Light Level unless the player is max light. Random gear would drop at/ below player Light Level.
Thoughts?

2 RepliesSorry but thais sort of elitist crap that discriminate people in pve will never be excepted. It’s taken me over a year of grinding just to get to the level that I’m at now and I’am someone that was burnt by my experience of do strikes and the other parts that you mention would not be available to me since I’am a solo player. What this game needs is less content that puts a divide between players and more contend that solo/casual players can access
