I would love to see an SMG as a pinnacle weapon. Specifically because I'm tired of running shotguns and I am dying for an SMG impact buff. Anyways. TL:DR think of redrix but for close quarters. The main benefit is a pulse rifles impact in an SMG. In its normal state its a mid-ranged three bullet burst shot SMG, but if all bullets are precision hits the SMG switches out of burst mode normal SMG firing KEEPING impact and range but slightly reduces stability. Archetype: - Precision Frame - RPM??? (maybe 340 aka redrix) - Impact??? (maybe bygones impact) - SC Holo Sights - Range: Slightly higher than Lunas - Zen Moment, or headseeker - PInnacle perk let's call it "Full Auto Seeker" just for simplicity sake. It turns off the burst shots and shoots like a normal SMG with headseeker. The Skill Gap: Three precision hits with even a pulse is tough. Let alone an SMG? And if you aim too high you'll miss bullets putting you at a huge disadvantage from the initial trigger pull. The Carousel effect will also be a skill gap. The Breakdown: Meant for close-to-mid battles. In its normal state its a 3-bullet burst SMG. But if ANY burst (not just the first of the magezine) hits all precision marks the SMG turn into full auto and keeps the impact and range[spoiler]... breakneck[/spoiler]. While in Full Auto with Headseeker If you miss 2 bullets consecutively, 5 seconds pass, or you reload the perk deactivates. If you miss two bullets and get set back to burst mode and your burst hits precisions again you'd get the perk back. This creates an up and down rate of fire just like a carousel. So no. I'm not Into myself. This would also be a good PVE weapon. What do you guys think? I personally am tired of running a shotgun to defeat a shotgun.
