There's no difference between QP and Comp now.

In the past 7 days alone, I've run into well over 40 people running a full meta loadout - Shotty, Luna's/NF, Wardcliff, OEM, Nova Warp, Shards of Galanor, I've seen it all. In quickplay. Quickplay is really the only place lower skilled players have to actually enjoy the Crucible. Now with the meta swarming Quickplay like it's the goddamn plague, I have friends who are subpar at best who won't even touch Crucible because of the sheer amount of sweat in quickplay. At this point it feels like I'm playing against zombies or NPCs instead of actual people. Quickplay has become no different than Comp and it's sad. I'm in the last stretch before I get my Broadsword(I only now bothered to get it after seeing how close I was to finishing the quest), I'm at Mythic 2 on my last reset and I just want games where nobody is sweating.

 • I only noticed this change after the last matchmaking update, which I didn’t think would effect quickplay. I’ve seen so many Not Forgottens in qp that I had to start running meta myself. For the most part though, I use quickplay to run other weapons I never get to use in comp and just have more fun doing that. I don’t know why people would want to play sweats in quickplay, but if I had NF I guess I’d be using it as much as possible too. But that is what worries me about if the bring Trials back. 1. They won’t nerf Luna’s or Not Forgotten because of the work people put into getting those. 2. Trials will be nothing but Not Forgotten teams winning if they revive it similar to the old structure. 3. They’ve yet to implement any other weapon type that can stand toe to toe in the same range as Luna’s or NF in terms of ttk. (Especially with the upcoming nerf to Wavesplitter and Telesto - which, btw I am ok with). Before they bring trials back they need to make autos or release another weapon that regular players can use to efficiently battle those at their effective ranges. I’ve never supported catering to all players or nerfing hard to get items, but I do think every weapon should have a counter but it’s hard to range those weapons when pretty much every map is still the small 4v4 maps that do not allow ranged combat to be effective. At least D1 had a lot of maps that allowed for varied play styles.
