It would make snipers useless. I think they should stay heavy.

They are special? Ohhhhh you mean the slot/ammo not the adjective hahaahaha I guess. I was using Queenbreaker in Rumble yesterday and I seemed to get heavy ammo often enough. I know they're about to nerf heavy ammo spawns in Rumble and comp, so heavy will only come around half as often, but I think if you lock down the purple and use scavenger perks for when you see purple on the ground, you can get enough ammo to use them enough. In PVE, I don't think there's any problem, because now I can snipe and use Queenbreaker, which is something I could never do in D1. And using 1-2 scavenger perks and heavy ammo finder makes it so you almost always have ammo. I just think they should add more Linear Fusions, maybe another foundry besides Veist? I'd like to see Suros or Omolon make some linear fusions, especially since I love Omolon fusions like Proelium
