Finally obtained this weapon after slowly working through the quest playing IB almost exclusively since Forsaken released. It is a disappointing reward for the effort. It is not as good as a well-rolled Go Figure or Claws much less a Bygones. In PvP, the slow ROF coupled with weak aim assist and high recoil equals death before enough precision shots land to trigger Desperado. Vaulting it until it is buffed (which likely won't happen).
And I can't even claim the Forged in Fire Triumph as a consolation prize since that Triumph got broken a couple of updates ago.
[Edit]
Thanks for the feedback.
In PvP, I had expected RB to be to legendary pulse rifles what LH/NF is to legendary HC. And it's not. I did try RB with some of the recommended rolls and mods. It helped, but I still won't use it as my go to PR in PvP. It is just way too situational.

It is... just needs a couple of changes. Replace the horrible dinky little iron sights with a nice red dot sight. Remove the awful rails too because they're really killing the gun. Lastly, buff the whole 340rpm archetype to do 36 a crit.
-
2 RepliesChange outlaw to feeding frenzy. Done. Then, with the perks activated, better stability as well. No? That opens up the weapon with just having to get a kill shot rather than a crit kill.
-
The gun it self is fine, the archetype is trash

1 ReplyI mean with desperado active I believe it has the best dps and fastest time to kill of any primary :P With that in mind. What do you do to it to make it useful?
-
3 RepliesYou need a better roll than the initial reward - that one is pretty lame, honestly. With Arrowhead Break and Ricochet, the stability is really solid. It still won't be top tier in PvP, because that archetype is pretty weak as a whole, but it's not a bad weapon for PvP. In PvE, however, it is incredible. If you're looking for a good PvE roll, I would recommend looking for a roll with Extended Mag, add a Backup Mag mod and you're at 45 in the clip. Again, Arrowhead Break for your first perk is ideal - it brings recoil direction up to max.

2 RepliesI have arrowhead break, richochet rounds and stability masterwork I also got it last season. It is really good in pve. It could use a buff in pvp.i think handling/stability buff.

Its the best high impact pulse in the game, its just the adaptive/aggressive archtypes are better in pvp (right now).
-
yeah on console 🤣🤣🤣🤮
-
It's a pinnacle weapon in a bad archetype.
-
340 rpm pulses just suck as a whole. They need to hit 34-36 per headshot.
Redrix Broadsword is NOT a Pinnacle Weapon.
Redrix used to be better than average, but is has been surpassed by Luna's, NF, Bygones, Blast Furnace, etc. because Outlaw activation is very inconsistent, thereby impacting Desperado. The 340 High Impact Pulse archtype is also very bad in the current meta. As a result, Redrix will need a rework before becoming viable again. Some fixes could include 1) faster base reload time 2) better base range As for Desperado, here are two possible upgrade options to consider: 1) Desperado now activates on a single precision burst (all 3 rounds must be precision hits) or 2) Desperado now activates with Feeding Frenzy. Redrix's Broadsword's Outlaw perk is also replaced by Feeding Frenzy. Either should make Redrix's Broadsword a more effective pinnacle weapon.

Only the skilled players like this weapon , the rest vault it.

It's basically exclusive since the community treats it so. The gun does need a buff. More rpm or more impact.
