Not sure I follow on how this is bad news, unless you have already deleted the character before moving gear over to your vault. If you have not deleted the character and have ample space in your vault, this is what I would do: - Move all unequipped gear that you want to save into the vault. - Go to your collections and reacquire the most basic gear you can get - For Armor this would be found under the Leveling section (White / Common) - For Weapons this would be any White (common) or Green (uncommon) item and you'll need to grab a kinetic (primary), energy (special) and heavy (power) - Equip this basic gear on your character so you can move the remaining items to your vault - Once you have moved all the gear that you want to save for your new character, you can now safely delete that character. Your new character will not be able to use that gear until your reach the appropriate level of the gear, so plan accordingly. As I said in my original reply, pursuits (quests and bounties) are character based and can not be transferred, so these will be lost including any progress you have made on a given pursuit.
