After seeing the reveal, seeing who the developer was and that they didn't want to put PvP in it, I wasn't interested. Whether they put PvP in later I don't even care, because in the end I don't just want another mmo shooter, I want Destiny.

Edited by AxelOfTheLight: 1/20/2019 8:38:28 PMLet us know how that 500th useless strike completion or that thousandth dismantle of the same useless blue armor 20-30 below your power goes. I'll be on Anthem getting rewarded with relevant gear for all activities I complete

This comment might have came off better if you didn’t have 3 600+ characters and weeks worth of playtime on Destiny.

I mean, no one said I didn't play though? What? I can't play destiny and be unsatisfied with its current state? Destiny is my PvP game, always has been, probably always will be. Even so, I know the current state of this game is pretty trash

For what? Get gear to get better gear to....get better gear? That's the problem with a pve only game, eventually you do everything and repeat the same stuff to get better gear just to do the same stuff again but....faster. on destiny you get a god roll dusk rock you take that cancerous bitch into the crucible and you ruin people's days. Anthem is going to flop, it's another byproduct of destiny's struggles and frustrations. Just like division and monster hunter world . And like those games, it'll fizzle out fast. At least monster hunter world was good, but it's fans are now twiddling their thumbs for the next dlc in 2020.

I mean, yeah. Eventually you run out of content. That's a game period. Luckily, like destiny, anthem will be ever evolving. Anthem will just do it better and not put you in a time-gated hamster wheel. If I want to grind for my perfect gear all week,I can. No weekly activities that lock me out of grinding for the gear I want

Then you just run out of content faster with out any bottle neck functions. At this point it's all about preference, d1 suffered from that because they'd drop a dlc and people would burn through it in couple weeks and ,that would be it. people would do wrath of the machine just to do it. The annual pass time gate could work, they just got to find the Blanace. Which is easier said than done.definetly a work in progress. This is bio ware's first crack at a game like this, for them to actually succeed against games that have been doing this for years, like warframe, they have to have a game that is packed full of endgame content that's fun to play in order for it to stay relevant for any meaningful amount of time. I'm not a betting man but I wouldn't put my chips on em to pull that off their first time around. To high of an order. Hope I'm wrong when I say it'll flop so I can pick it up, but I doubt that'll happen....okay I'm done with my text wall, I'm gonna go do something productive now.
