I’d rather them just take Enhancement Cores out the infusion cost and just let us use them for Masterworking AND Re-rolling Weapon/Armor Perks. Bungie wants us to have to grind until our eyes bleed. That’s why the game is the way it is. I think a great compromise would be: - Remove Enhancement Cores from the cost of infusion. - 125 Enhancement Cores to Masterwork - 25 Enhancement Cores to Re-roll Perks A Masterworked item should be something really special and should come at a high cost. If it cost 1000 Enhancement Cores to Masterwork a complete set of gear, and then another 25 each time you try to re-roll, there would still be incentive to grind to get Enhancement Cores as well as RNG gear. I don’t know about you, but I put in a lot of time to get my Faction Rally Armor, Iron Banner Armor, Leviathan Armor, & Solstice of Heroes Armor for all 3 of my guardians. Then I tricked them out with awesome shaders. Then I worked on them to get them all Masterworked. But then came Forsaken and made all that armor basically useless. Just to infuse one set would wipe me out of Enhancement Cores, and my hard fought for armor doesn’t have any perks. It feels like I was punished for putting in so much effort. Let me at least infuse my old gear cheap since it’s not as useful as the new stuff. Or let me use Enhancement Cores to gain some perks on the old equipment.

  • I agree but IMO you should be able to choose the masterwork and then it should be expensive to bring it up. Rerolling weapons should only be expensive if you can choose what you want IMO. You can use 250 Cores, 2500 weaponparts or 1000 legendary shards. So everything in the game has more meaning. Remove glimmer cap and make it the cost for every currency.

  • That will cause a problem with casual players who would not be able to accumulate those materials. It will turn off casuals by making parts of the game way out of reach. Destiny has always had a problem with hard core players having far too many materials and nothing to use them on, they should simply cap them like they do with Glimmer. For me, I have way too much crap like weapon parts because I hate the redemption system, it takes way too long to turn them in so I just vault them waiting for the day that they change that system.

This were just example prices but I see it being to high. I would only be able so to some god rolls with it and even streamerlevel hardcore players could not do too many god rolls. After a day with a system like this everybody would be on the same level. Hardcore players should have an advantage anyway and I dont even think that casuals think too much into god rolls. Just look into crucible. Most Dust Rocks are bad rolls. They just took the first they got. So this system was for players like me who want customisation.. I also think that many casual players play the campaign and never dive deep into the endgame. The game could give them enough currency at the end of the game abd introduce them to a system like that. Who knows, maybe some casual get hardcore if they know what they could chase. EDIT: Currency needs be have something to use it on and not have a cap to artificial make it worth something. This is easy gamedesign..

  • I understand where you're coming from, but I'd have to disagree on some parts of it. Mainly the economy of it. I'd like to see infusing costs have no enhancement cores included, but a full masterworked set at the moment isn't worth the grind. Dropping an orb that doesn't really give you much more super energy than a couple of kills and 5% resistance to damage of 1 elemental type isnt worth 1.000 cores and it doesn't feel special either. For it to feel special, it would have to have a noticeable effect, for example no blinding effects from that junk the taken captain throws at you. I think being able to customize mobility, resilience and recovery would feel more special, along with being able to customize the perks. I wouldn't mind the least if the set had to be masterworked first before that's available, but the current masterwork doesn't feel special and I'm opposed the idea of raising the cost will make it feel any less pointless.

  • I didn’t realize they changed how Masterwork armor works in Forsaken. Haven’t even looked into Masterworking armor because I’d rather use Enhancement Cores to reach max power and Masterwork my favorite weapons.
