I can get behind this. Just make it like AC Odyssey engravings where you have to unlock it then you can put it on your gear. And then they can go through and do some cool stuff like leveling it up or whatever to make things cheaper. However this would need to be a total endgame thing and I think the best way to introduce it would be a quest from Banshee that Ada helps out in.
