I honestly gave up when I saw that stupid jumping puzzle to unlock the Izanami forge. If I ever choose to complete it; then that will be it. Never gonna go back to it again

Do you know how to do the content you've been complaining about? Do you know what it takes to get the exotics? Regarding rare bounties from Ada......collect and complete a bunch (like all 7 dailies for the weekly bounty) and then turn them all in at once, not one at a time as they are finished. You'll have a pretty high chance of getting a rare bounty. I too was disappointed in the Izanagi sniper quest only getting dropped to the first guardian who visits Ada. I had the mystery box on my Titan, but no keys (my Warlock was the one with the box and 3 keys done). So I had to run the 3 forges, kill the shield-bots, and collect the keys before progressing with the key mold. It took an hour with a friend. If you know where the bots spawn it is possible to solo them. Regarding the exotics, you only have 6 chances per week assuming you've unlocked all forges on all guardians. You have to be forging a powerful weapon frame to have a chance to get one. Those are the frames you purchase with the ballistic logs. Those are the rewards for completing the weekly Ada bounties. You get 2 per week per guardian. After purchasing the frame you need to complete the steps to power it up before going to the forge. You can only get Jotuun from Bergusia I believe, but Le Monarch will drop from any (maybe?). I have had it drop from both Gofannon and Volundr. I read somewhere that the drop rate for these 2 exotics is pretty high, like a 20% chance. Regarding the quest and the Izanagi sniper - ok. so you didn't get it last week - you've got 2 weeks of grinding before you can try it again. It's a sniper, it's good, it's kinetic, you won't be maining it much. It will probably collect dust in the vault. Finish up your rare bounty and don't turn it in. Grind out your ballistic logs and try to get your forge exotics. When shattered throne appears next work on your Izanagi sniper quest. Not everyone was able to complete the quest last week, you are not alone.

It’s unfortunately just tedious “fetch quest” or RNG stuff to unlock a forge or complete a quest step. Other than the forges themselves, there is nothing new and the quests to get them don’t take players anywhere new either. I have already been reduced to simply forging two powerful weapon frames a week with each character and that’s it. There’s nothing else to do with all 3 characters at 650 and I’m not grinding the same old activities for exotics.

so update - I am screwed - I managed to get the only rare bounty that I can not complete. Doing forges, got a weapon frame, got other small frames, forged them all at last forge (was trying to get Jotunn) - went to first forge to complete the BA bounties picked up - when turning in got my rare (yeah) - look at bounty complete one of the two new raid (neither of which I have done) wearing 4 pieces of gear - I have 1 and if lucky 2 pieces of gear. As I Said - Screwed.

At reset - I turned in all the bounties I had and picked up all the new BA bounties. Upon completing them was issued a rare bounty - completed it, turned it in. (I have 3 of 6 for the record). THEN the forge release happens and no one is able to get past the puzzle. So I come back the next day and pick up the key on my warlock (which by the way just happens to be the character I was running for the last few days) and then come to find out that I need a rare bounty. Well, I know I'm not going to get one since I just got and competed one the day before. Go over to my main Titan and yup sure enough, can't get a key over there. So I wait and will do BA bounties on the warlock only in hopes that in 3 weeks I will be able to get a rare to drop and be able to move forward on this quest. Sometimes that is just how it is.

If, big if here for a lot of people, the RNG was on your side, then the quest steps weren't that bad. I kinda enjoyed the quest line because I only suffered a one day delay because of the rare bounty, and I got a bounty I could complete in one sitting. My biggest disappointment is with the gun it's self. It's junk for an exotic. So many more useful, more rewarding, more enjoyable exotics to use.

Finally got a rare bounty.... yesterday evening of course.....*sigh*

Well... Where I begin? I got the bountry, but I don't have items for four slots. I have a crapload of Black Armoury items, but they are like Mass Effect 3 endings - only for three slots. So I can't complete this quest. I have five kindle orchids, but they won't count. Another thing I do not understand, and honestly - despise - is the limitation on the amount of things we carry. Be that modulus reports or ballistic reports, or something else, not related to Black Armoury. Why impose absolutely artificial limit on one things and no limit on others is very strange and feels forced. However, while limiting is bad enough, but taking away items every weekly resets is even worse. What if I don't have gun types I like, why can't I have them transferred into next week? I'm still going to play this game, only elsewhere. You won't lose my attention. Yet actions like these actually push me away from game. What will happen if I spend fixed amount of time doing particular activities in weeks 1, 2, and 5, and get six rewards for them which I spend in week 6 that will have frames I need? How it's different from me spending same amount of time, only in weeks 6, 12, and 18, because it will be them with needed frames and, without ability to accumulate frames early, I am forced to "smear" my attention in thin layer. But what I have desire to play Black Armoury this week and not the next? Or previous? I paid for this, I want to play my way. It's not Dawning after all. So, what will happen? Someone's glutes will dry out and fall off? For me these forced, imposed, and totally artificial limitations are the worst (or best, depending on your point of view) "repellents" for this activity. Do I like forges? Well, they may be fun. But not when surrounded with so many unneeded steps. Want us to visit Ada more frequently? Give here more interesting lines. CDPR did that for Triss, why can't you? If we want farm, let us farm. At our pace, at our tempo, at our time. We PAID for that. Not for mere "access" for these forges. Otherwise it is like a cafe where you first have to pay for entrance, and then for courses. In addition to usual lines, menu rotation, and so on. As for arbitrary RNG comment - given how similar (or identical) those "random" items I got from Ada, I sincerely thought it is weekly based. But seeing other guardians with similar equipment, yet with different perks, or different mods bought from Ada, I realize it is indeed, totally random. Only in my case - not so random. Regarding Throne/Raid requirement I recall my post about Ace of Space mandatory PvP step. All this frustration could be reversed via mere option that allow us more choices. In case of Ace of Spades - swap 25 PvP headshot kills with 250 PvE. In case of this bounty - swap 4 items Throne for, I don't know, 25 strikes with three items. Yes, it may take more time, but it wouldn't be time-gated. As I have no idea whether I'll get my armour piece for next bounty IF I get that. Give us options. We are all different, we may like particular play-style, and dislike another, we want to play this game, only with less limitations. Don't create anecdotal Soviet deficit with stamp lines to get more stamps. Yes, I know Elvis' Moody Blue, but I also know that gaming is fun, waiting is not. Don't forget, we invest not only money into this, but our time, and it is far more precious currency even for developer/publisher.

Reading some of the comments below is actually quite revealing and sad. Claiming a '' Grind '' and this is loot based shooter status quo as a defense for poor game design, is not a defense for poor game design. Players pay good money for new content, not old content. Attempting to tie in prior game assets to something recently paid for and expected to be new by players, and actually playable, in and attempt to '' Give players the grind they asked for.'' Is disingenuous and insulting to those players. They have done this tired act before, many times. And it should be called out now for what it is, as it was then. A rip off, and disrespectful to the players monetary and time based investments. They can't be allowed to hide behind '' Grind.'' and '' Mystery.'', and '' Surprises.'', in a clever attempt to confuse the fact that there is no content here worth that time or money investment. And while some of this may be subjective of course, when one looks at this objectively, one sees quite clearly whats going on. When it comes to them vs the player, time is on their side, not ours. They can meet out '' Content'' over weeks, even months, simply because that's the '' Nature of the game.'' the only problem with that is, the return on investments can never be truly seen or felt by the player, because it's not Bungie, it's bad luck. A convienient scapegoat. Too many aspects of this title rely on rng, players aren't spending their money on taking chances, they are spending their money to play a game, and a game is exactly what we should be getting. Not the hope of one.

Monarch and Jotunn being tied to only powerful frames is bullshit. basically do 6 frames a week and move on, thats not a great strategy.
