Please remove Enhancement Cores for infusion with this upcoming patch. There is a negative impact on community with this.
I am loving this game and played daily for more than 40 days, from 2-6 hours daily. My hunter reached 650 recently, I love to get my other guardians to this level but knowing that I need tons of cores to use weapons and armors I like is stopping me. I have no problem grinding, I did it before and I am doing it. But grinds comes from playing but Cores are rare and masterworking already needs a good bunch.
I posted on Reddit, it was removed as it was mentioned a lot of times, Forbes, other sites mentioned this, every day it was mentioned here and you claim you listen to feedback. This is very negative to keep guardians from using weapons and armors they like.
When D2 went free on Battlenet, me and gaming Friends and their friends joined D2, many of us liked it and got Forsaken. This infusion cost is an issue for everyone. So, pull your socks up and patch it. Thanks

Over 700+ likes on one thread alone. The silence is staggering. If they continue with this hated system, they need to add more ways of getting cores. The seasonal event was amazing for it, but now ended. It’s back to square one. Gambit games, weekly milestones? Ranking up in crucible (11+ resets) and not a single core or stack of cores is annoying and frustrating. Half the gear is low light and never used? Why base a loot and shoot game with stuff and classes that can’t be utilized OR enjoyed.

It seriously surprises me that they've remained so adamant on this subject. It's a universally hated mechanic, and one that makes masterworked Y2 weapons essentially impossible. No one's going to sacrifice 15 infusions to trick out one gun.

Remove enhancement cores from the infusion process. I prefer to grind for gear not cores.

Yes they have kept me from using scout rifles since the graviton buff. Make scout rifles great again.

2 RepliesSo I'm not saying they should've been implemented for infusion, but they've been a requirement for upgrading for a while. Truthfully, they're not hard to get around. As other people have said, learn to play smarter and don't upgrade every piece of armor for low level upgrades. Your individual inability or refusal to upgrade accordingly doesn't speak for the many, many others who are able to do so. It's been in the game long enough to figure how or what to upgrade and when. And it boggles me that this thread is getting the same attention that the previous threads did when cores became an infusion requirement, still asking for their removal now as much as before. As I said, I'm not saying they should be required. I think for what their name was, "masterwork cores", they should have stayed as they were. That's not the case and it's pretty easy to work around without all of this "grinding" you guys think you have to do. Just play the game and play smart like you would any other game, unless you don't.

Just hit 650 yesterday. I'm done playing destiny till the next expansion. When all of the content of the game is just there for a grind to max level with no real reason to continue playing, I don't see myself sticking with this game. No, I dont want to max another character, it was already painful enough having to use trash equipment for months on end just to get enough cores to bring up what I'll actually use. I'd love to play my other characters and let their abilities make the gameplay feel fresh again, but with how boring it is to run the exact same content week after week for a CHANCE to level up, I find myself thinking, what's the point. Even if I get the gear, the core system won't let me use what I'd prefer to use. I don't really see bungie taking the time to improve anything with destiny 2 anymore as all their development time is being spent of Destiny 3. I'll pop back in when the next "dlc" releases and play a little, but if the infusion system hasn't changed by then, I doubt I'll even bother.

There are plenty ways to get cores. Break out of your comfort zone and understand that it takes time to level. Only level up your favorite weapon if you have to but save all your cores until you get to 650. Do all of spiders core bounties and scrapper bounties.

5 Repliescores arent a problem anymore. They are dropping much more abundantly, and I applaud Bungie for that. The tedious thing is planetary mats, since you need 25! just drop it to 10 and it will make the infusion process so much more enjoyable.

6 RepliesSo cores go and everyone is running around in masterworks armour, whats the point of master work. Having a full set of master work armour should give one a sense of achievement, after all it is end game. if cores are removed they will be replaced by something else.

Im suprised you are having such a hard time with the enhancement cores with as much as you play. I played just iron banner yesterday and was able to collect 8 with just turning in weapons. I do agre with taking them out to infuse weapons. Make it cost 25 or 30 legenday shards. But i think it should still cost the same to masterwork the weapons. Good luck to you.
