Sure the execution was bad, they tried something new. Don’t treat it like previous dlc, it’s not the same can’t compare it. Apples and oranges. I would rather have this formula going forward. It last for much longer as feels I got my money’s worth. Previous dlc felt I went through some story levels and was done the same day I stared it with minimal objective to go after.

  • If all of this was released on the same day it would have been done even faster. It takes about 45 minutes to pick up and complete a weapon frame. Bungie put all the weapons behind weekly waits, and even then it's just you doing the same thing with different weapons over and over. So you have at tops 6-8 hours of repetitive weapon core grinding, a 1 hour raid (for new teams of appropriate level with knowledge) and that's it. At least with CoO, we had a 2 hour story if you watched all the scenes, a 45 minute raid, new crucible maps, new strikes, the new masterworking weapons which made a pretty significant change to the game as a whole, and new trials gear. Then there was Brother Vance's insanely grindy prophecy weapons. But hey, if you enjoy Black armory's approach to making weapons then the Osiris Forge did an even better job.
