so i recently upgraded my PC to newer parts that are recommended for the game at high settings, to my disappointment i'm averaging around 45 fps in open world and 50fps in strikes, i have tried everything from installing new drivers, reinstalling drivers, turn off sync, adjusted games settings to low and still get the same fps, i have tried reinstalling the game, deleting the CVARS file, changed mouse polling rate, lowered resolution, updating bios and changing from full screen to windowed full screen, i am completely helpless on what to do ill put my full system specs below. thank you TB

5 RepliesMy 2080 ti runs this game at high settings at about 100fps average.(3440 x 1440 at 105 degrees FOV). not measured average but perceived average from the fps counter. amd ryzen 7 2700x asus crosshair vii motherboard with 16 gb of gskill pc 3200 ram 850 corsair psu, so what you are seeing is about ballpark for what you have. If you want to know what to buy before you spend money on it, i would suggest watching a few benchmarking videos at the resolution you intend on running at. Running the game in a windowed mode on mine chokes the fps to about 60..in fact everything but full screen chokes it down for some reason. CTRL+alt+delete to open the task manager then navigate to process usage to see graphs of what your hardware is doing. Is the cpu at 100% but your gpu is at 60%? then its a cpu problem and you are bottlenecking the graphics. Is the gpu at 100% but your cpu is at 30%? then your graphics card is lacking and is holding you back. turn on the in game fps counter and start tweaking...if it doesn't increase fps then don't turn it down...only go for things that actually help. see: https://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/destiny-2-pc-graphics-and-performance-guide
