We were told we’d get more frequent updates. The PvP team is too slow to identify and respond to issues.

Without activision will bungie actually get fixes and content out in a timely manner? I’m doubting it until bungie proves otherwise.
-
I think they strategically save the updates and upload them closer to dlc releases and release them all at once. They do this to promote the new DLC or content and to "show" that they are improving the game so more people buy the annual pass or whatever DLC they are promoting. Think of the update right before forsaken launched to give some players a reason to come back. It's all strategically placed

If Trials doesn’t exist anymore when 1 out of their 750 employees could maintain it and still do the rest of their work, I don’t think they understand what their game needs anymore. I don’t care about Trials but the few people that do were streamers that Bungie needs for attention. But don’t worry. They are probably making another puzzle that can’t be solved by a single one of their millions of fans. Trials, Faction Wars, yadda yadda. Activision forced Bungie to create things, then immediately leave to do other projects and never turn back to follow a weird model that had no escape in the worst contract you’ll ever read. Let’s see what happens now they don’t have an excuse for failure.

1 ReplyNot everyone agrees what are "issues".
-
5 RepliesThis is the only game I’ve ever played where it takes months to address known issues and updates. I don’t really care that it takes x amount of time to see if a patch is even viable. Engineers, regardless of the type, don’t design things that create a ton of time to repair and/or modify. It’s called forward thinking. The only forward thinking bungie has ever done is reskinning enemies and weapons. We still have reskinned weapons from D1.

1 ReplyThey are actually ahead of schedule. Took a year to get D1, I mean a better D2 back from them.
-
1 ReplyIf they pulled the pvp team to work on trials this would be more understandable but for now I've just avoided pvp since it's so laughably terrible
-
10 RepliesWe're just going to have to deal with wolf's howl and hand cannon scrubs for a little while longer. Wolf's howl reminds me of pre nerf Thorn back in D1. Getting sniped across the map and quickly dying with an op perk.
-
5 RepliesIf they were weekly, it would only take 1 week to reach Vanilla D2 again with all the whinny nerf herders out there.
-
1 ReplyOr at least do something about the sorry state of scout rifles in PvE. I remember in D1 where 150s could actually kill red bars. And remember when, in this game, you could kill things with the scout rifle weapon type. Sure was nice.

3 RepliesTo hell with pvp ... pve patrol hasn’t seen an update since the beginning of destiny 2
-
1 ReplyThey don't care. Accept the trash they have given you or take it out and find a real PVP game.
-
1 ReplyThere really should be a monthly update. It wouldn't need to be anything big, just tweak a couple of things a little bit each month. Surely it's not that hard? Up the damage of about rifles by 5% one month. Next month up the stability on SMGs by 5%. The month after, up the range on sidearms by 5%. The month after, decrease spectral blades duration by 95%. Simple stuff really.

Edited by Amirai: 1/10/2019 7:41:17 PMI think a cycle of Mid-Range size Quarterly or in Trimester updates would be ideal. Scheduled even, that way the community knows when to expect a change. Every 3-4 months they should have an update that fixes some of the most complained about problems for sandbox balancing. Maybe a Hotfix 1-4 weeks after each update that can fix any new Bugs they find. Any that slip through will have to wait for the next Quarterly or Trimester-ally update in 2-3 months. Hard to do when your reliant on the limitations of your game engine though :(

1 Replythey are too busy as a support department shoveling cheeto's into the mouths of the PVE Dev Team.
-
3 RepliesDon’t care about pvp, pve is where it’s at
-
1 Replybut can patch the new forge in a day due to huge backlash. just goes to show they could've fixed everyone's issues with competitive/crucible a long time ago.
-
1 ReplyI agree. Bungie is in charge of only one game. Blizzard handles multiple games yet they update theirs more frequently so things are less stale.

1 ReplyCan't wait for nerfs? /s

We were told communication was going to be better and they went right back to showing up right before they need to sell content again too. Typical Bungie.

4 RepliesEdited by Sanctified N7: 1/10/2019 11:01:49 AMWtf is pvp? The boring snooze fest, laggy, broken, p2p mess Destiny has, cannot be it.

Why don't you just list your issues and ask them when they can get around to making the game better for you?

Other games adjust problems weekly or monthly. This game has always been a disaster in terms of it's pvp group. I mean absolute disaster.

Nope - one eye mask and shoulder charge have been ugly in crucible lately. Even nova warp is a super so not really a problem. Blade barrage and warp hits through walls so that needs to be addressed .
