Is destiny too politically correct?
This is a pretty simple post but one I found interesting nonetheless. From what I've seen from destiny one or two there is not a straight white male in the entire game.
I'm bored so let's make it a game. The first person that can name one wins a prize, let's say an emblem code or 1000 silver.
Rules: Awoken and EXO don't count, they must be human and it has to be a main or side character with dialog or shown in cutscenes and they must have a name, or be a vendor you can talk to in game.
Side note: Devrim Kay doesn't count because he's confirmed in game to be gay.
Again I could really care less that there isn't one but I just found it interesting.

P.s. some places have more black folks than white folks. Just happens to be the case sometimes. Also, fun fact, the tower is actually located in Tbilisi, Russia, but I don't hear you whining about the lack of Russian accents...interesting!

55 RepliesYou do realize: 1. The City isn’t in America. 2. Guardians were chosen from the entire human race. 3. Straight white males are a minority, worldwide. Straight East Asian males are far more numerous, and The Drifter seems to fit that bill.

I mean, I'm a straight white dude and I feel like I'm pretty well represented in games generally (and sometimes it gets to be a bit much... like, I'm not super thrilled by the way some folks in gaming communities think they're "representing" me by getting pissy at the inclusion of others; I can do without that kind of "representation"). I'm cool letting other folks get the chance to see characters like them be the big damn heroes, and I can be just as invested in their stories, too.

I've heard a random tower Npc tall about his wife. My character is a white Male and I'm straight. Other than that, pre exo cayde maybe.

1 ReplySomething is certainly wrong here. I've been running around and dancing here and there on all the destinations for a number of years now. I have not had anyone try and ask me for a date or anything else. It has to be a fault of just not knowing how good looking I really am. Oh well.
