Shouldn't matter how far you pull the bow back
Shouldn't matter how long you hold the bow pulled.
If the arrow hits something, that "something" should be poisoned
-
I think it should be like dragonfly, triggering poison when you land a precision hit. I agree the perfect draw thing is pretty hard to succeed with, but maybe I just need more practice with bows.
-
1 ReplySo trinity ghoul should also chain lightning and deal arc damage on precision hit too, yeah?

11 RepliesEdited by ImTooHungover: 1/7/2019 4:02:54 PM100% no. The weapon is not that hard to get Poison procs if youre at least semi adept with Bows. My suggestion would be to just run around a bunch with Le Monarque in pve till you get use to the timing. Anything more done to LM would break it for PvP. Tbh, its on the verge of maybe being too strong in pvp to begin with and this comes with the fact that i think its still bugged where poison does not always proc when it should. But Hell, you want to have some fun, use Empowered Rift, Ophidian Aspect on a Warlock and Le Monarque. You can not only 1 hit enemies, but the dramatic improvement to reload speed allows you to up your TTK by a nice amount. Allowing you an easier opportunity to quickly 2 tap enemies per se. What i could see being done is increasing poison damage in the PvE realm but thats about it. Anything universal would make it too strong with little skill necessary to play with. EDIT: something that i would think would be interesting in PvE only is make it so the Poison adds a slow or a minor disorienting effect along with a small dmg buff. I think that could help it feel a bit better. Of course, keep that type of shit out of PvP XD

No way. You just need more practice with bows.
-
It should stay the way it is, after perfect draw. The only problem is the perk not being activated when it should. I'm sure it's just a bug that needs to be addressed. I really enjoy the bow in crucible
-
Yes it should as long as it's a Crit-Hit like Firefly
-
5 RepliesBecause we all want Thorn to ruin PvP again.
-
No. Bow's are better than Scout Rifle's at the moment. The last thing we need is a hybrid between Thorn, and a over powered Scout in the Crucible. Be a bit more patient, and learn to be more accurate, and you already got what you want.
-
I began too wonder if it was broken at first, until suddenly it worked😖 just another exotic stored in my vault.
-
1 ReplyThen can Trinity Ghoul shock 100% f the time instead of on just crits?
-
8 RepliesEdited by RPColten: 1/7/2019 9:35:43 PMThe Monarch does apply poison damage 100% of the time, so long as you fulfill the criteria required which is landing a precision hit from a perfect draw. Edit: Correction, the poison only requires a perfect draw. A precision hit also tacks on a poison cloud.
-
No. You should actually have to time it right. Stop being lazy.
-
So...the weapon that in the crucible, almost one shots me poisoning me, should do that all the time? They could have it be "light" poison every shot but make it do more damage on the full pull I guess. But man if there wasn't already 4 stacks ALL using that bow in the crucible now, there 100% would be after that change.
-
2 RepliesThat is exactly what it does. Order your oathkeepers gauntlets today 😂
-
1 ReplyNot a fan of cool/fun bows eh?
-
Get the timing down, after that it does. It still needs to be buffed though.
-
I just want it to have dragonfly. That would make it a lot more viable
-
I like that it requires a perfect draw, as it is one if the few weapons that I feel requires some learning to make full use of and, more importantly, it's one of a select few where the reward is actually worth the time invested. I just wish they would fix it not activating when you do meet the requirements.
-
10 RepliesI think le monarque should critically wound a target with a headshot and the would poison finish them off(pvp)
-
I agree but it should still have a skill/timing element. Give it a flat DoT rate but if drawn and fired in the sweet spot it should tick faster.
-
Bump.
-
2 RepliesUnderbarrel grenade launchers should also detonate at any range no matter how close they may be.
-
Agreed

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 1/6/2019 6:44:08 PMAgreed. If they wanted to limit the spread of the poison to other enemies to a timed draw, I’d be ok with that. Either way, I can’t speak for PvP, but for PvE Subtle Calamity with Dragonfly and a BA Dragonfly spec mod with Explosive Head as well is superior in my opinion.
-
8 RepliesI mean, why are you holding on so long?
-
2 RepliesCompletely disagree. It would break the game. It's all about timing and it rewards skill.
