Forsaken exotic drop rate still terrible
Hello everyone,
I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way so I'll just go ahead and say it - we're still getting a lot of duplicate year one exotics even though we're actually missing just the Forsaken ones.
I started playing D2 in September and I've been doing so pretty much every evening for the past couple of months. All my characters are 650, I'm completing all the powerful gear bounties, participating in raids. Still, I'm missing only the really good exotics, like One-Eyed Mask, Shards of Galanor, Ursa Furiosa etc. I feel like by the time I finally get the one I want, it has already been nerfed or about to be.
Bungie, please, either rework the old exotics so they could at least be worth using or increase the drop rate of not obtained exotics! D2 is starting to feel like a Korean MMO game where all you do is grind and hope that the RNGesus shines his divine light on you.. this time.

1 ReplyDrop rate is stupid, the duplicate drop rate is worse. No excuse, poor game design, bottom line. I do not want them given to me, but shit, not a single Exotic this week, not even a duplicate. The ones saying the drop rate is fine are the ones who already have what they want.

1 ReplyI agree, I do all my milestones every week, I play 3 to 4 hours everyday. I haven't seen an exotic drop for me in two weeks. One week if you count Le Monarque, but I don't count that since its a drop from powerful forge frames...

This is not "fun" This does not make things feel "special" I am getting really really frustrated with this.. I legit have not found a way that reliably farms exotic drops, and when I DO get one it's almost always a weapon I own.. (weighted my ass) or another god damned wings of sacred suck.. >.< I wish I had kept a record of each drop after the weighted thing, because it was ridiculous.

Don’t feel bad, you could be stupid like me....I got a few drops, of items I already had, or at least I thought so....weird....so I deleted them without looking at them, thinking they were repeats. Unless the light lvl was higher, then infusion bait. Come to find out, they were the new exotics with the additional perks. But I can’t reaquire them from my collections, it just gives me the year 1 version. So stupid.....smh

1 ReplyThe lack of content and even new exotics is dumb and can someone please tell me why exotics are the endgame instead of actual content it took over a month to get most of the black forge content which is okay i guess but not really replayable after you get what rolls you want on the weapons you like there was suppose to be much more incorporated into black armory like black teir weapons which could still happen but unlikely. Also, why is it taking so long to get this content out, why is it that we pay for dlc and the game yet a good portion of players are still missing out on exotics and other stuff and who playing an average of 20 to 40 hrs a week which is a hardcore player. I had much more fun playing d1 which i had about 3000 hrs in where im at about 850 hrs in d2 and really feel like im done. Im constantly being disappointed and let down seeing so many other players using exotics i could only wish i had and im sure alot of players feel the same.

I had that moment...I got an exotic drop--like, legit, not one of those damn sparrows--and got all excited before I discovered that it was that freaking Warlock helmet. Again. First in MONTHS and it wasn't even Forsaken... Honestly, drops in general are messed up. I prefer autos, scouts, and rocket launchers (although I don't mind fusions and LMGs, and shotties are fun too sometimes), and all I get are...hand cannons. Hand cannons, with the occasional sniper or pulse rifle mixed in...basically all my least favorite guns. The only hand cannon I even marginally like is Malfeasance. Not helpful. Especially when the weapons drop UNDER my friggin' light level for half my weekly power engrams. I swear, I'm so close to quitting this stupid game.

My solution. Make exotics slightly more rare, but also make them fated engrams.

I do agree with you to drop rates for exotic suck however what I do like is the few Exotics I have gotten they actually fall on the ground just like how they did way back in D1 I like that I don't like getting the Exotics at the end screen I like them on the ground I feel like that's the way the game should be

I’ve had six exotic drops since forsaken dropped. I had two duplicates the night the dlc dropped, one duplicate the second week, one duplicate from a raid chest in mid October, two tailed fox the last week of October, and black talon the first week of December. At this point if I got a duplicate I think I’d probably break something if one month of grinding led to that bull crap. I agree that some of the year one exotics are really underwhelming, especially in comparison to the year 2 gear that are so rare that they are classified as a critically endangered species

i've only gotten 2 exotics in the last month. and both of those were from daily powerful rewards (sweet business and fighting lion). cannot actually even remember the last time an exotic engram dropped on the ground - it's been so long. and i play A LOT. there are so many Forsaken Exotic armor pieces i'm still missing.
