I played somebody in Iron Banner and shoulder charged them. They messaged me saying "Trash gotta shoulder charge" I admittedly did end top of list and him not fairing as well.
I replied "LOL, do you feel better now?" followed by him "No but reporting u for cheating and unsporting behavior with vid proof to xbox did scrub"
I annoyed, replied "Lol, you must make reports every match against anybody even remotely better than you... I would love to see this vid, sorry for the shoulder charge bud"
I chose to look up said player who started a topic (November 21) against shoulder charges where he mentions he reports any player who shoulder charges him.
So I ask does Bungie take actions against players who send multiple false reports?

I was reported by som fool for wrecking in gambit with lunafacation boots , sweet buisness, and benevolent dawn as my build to negate reloading and I havent been able to join online activities since...they messaged me saying I was a sloppy cheater
-
Why would they? Allocating man power to waste time retaliating on behalf of the accused costs money.

1 ReplyBungie doesn’t even take action on legit reports.

If you post his name in the topic that will help us all know

Edited by Zelrons: 1/3/2019 11:39:00 PMAll the crybabies in this thread aside, you're fine. It takes a large number of reports before an investigation is launched and then investigation would clearly turn up that you aren't cheating. Edit: Misread the thread. No. To my knowledge there is no system in place to punish users that abuse the report system.

2 RepliesThere is only one answer to this, make the game just for PC. problem solved
-
If they don’t take action against people who are actually cheating why would they go after people who are just abusing the reporting system. On the other hand it is bungie so I guess you never really know.
-
They don't do anything with legit reports, why bother with unsubstantiated ones?
-
It's based on numbers. One report against a player means essentially nothing. Neither xbox live nor bungie have the manpower to read and review every report ever made. A consistent stream of reports or a spike in reports is what triggers a review. It works on the flip side too, if someone makes reports constantly, those reports are going to be weighted less than someone who make fewer reports, and are less likely to trigger a review.

did you get banned for it? locked out of your account? then the answer is an obvious NO. don't entertain salty kids, I received something similar a couple of IB's alone, - Run towards me with a shotgun, get a shoulder charge, camp around the corner, have a shoulder charge. don't care much about PVP it's a shitfest.
-
Damn it! Now I gotta go Pull out the Titan and just shoulder smash everyone. SEE WHAT YOU MADE ME DO BUNGIE???

1 ReplyWhen they don't take action against legit reports it's a stretch to imagine they would take action against false reports. I wouldn't mind if they took action against people submitting false reports though, going through and checking those reports would be taking time that would be better spent on real reports and could be a cause of why there is no action taken against legit reports.
-
-blam!- no! They don't even take action against people who are factually cheating. Why you ask? Well, it's because Bungie sucks.
-
1 ReplyThey dont take action against real reports, so I think you are safe.

1 ReplyEdited by GozerTheGozerian: 1/3/2019 2:53:35 AMWhat movie is this from? Take a guess, but no cheating! - Hey, are you back? - Uh, yeah, it looks like it. King, where did you get those beers, boy? - I found it. - Oh, you found it? - You're going on report, son. - Both of you, come with me. I got a little job for you.

3 RepliesForgot to mention he blocked communication with me after my replies and his post says he gets people banned by reporting the shoulder charges *BREAKING NEWS* I'M NOT BANNED
-
Who is this goblin and where can I shoulder charge them?
-
Nope. I’ve been falsely reported by people cause they were mad. Nothing has happened.
-
3 RepliesI’ve gotten salty before when I lose in comp and reported people who do substantially worse than me (me with 25 kills vs a level 8 with 2 kills) for griefing, and nothing’s ever happened to me.
-
As long as you didn't do anything such as harrassing anyone,or modding your console you're going to be ok. Back then when i used to have a 360 i remember someone got banned just because they filed a false complaint against me just for killing a dark souls player in pvp,but Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

"No but reporting u for cheating and unsporting behavior with vid proof to xbox did scrub"
They reported you to XBL, so Bungie wouldn't have a say. And no, Bungie will not punish them. Even if they report every Titan they play against... If they have messages\chat with you being overly rude, or worse... You could get a comms ban. Since XBL is pretty guick to swing the hammer on that stuff.
-
If Bungie's Behavior team is anything like the game I work for, then no false reports will not have an effect on your account. It prolly works more along the lines of using reports as verification for something they're seeing or detecting themselves, or to begin investigation for something. That said, it really puts a spotlight on just how much the community actually respects or dare I say even thinks about reports if somebody is just doing it willy nilly whenever a Titan shoulder charges. And this is coming from someone who really has it out for Titans right now.
-
They surely don’t take against actual reports.
-
Bungie doesn’t take action against actual cheaters let alone false reports...
-
They don’t even take action against with legitimate reports. You let a 6th grader troll you.
