What’s that one game/series that you don’t think will ever be topped for you?
For me it’s the original Mass Effect trilogy. I just don’t see anything ever topping that for me. It’s the single player game/series I’ve put the most time into and replayed the most by far. It kind of sucks to feel like nothing will ever be better.

As a kid, I’d say LBP. Those games were the shit, especially 2. Pre-teen/early-teen years would be Far Cry 3 and 4, and to a lesser extent, Fat Princess. Mid-teen years would be Destiny 1 of all things. The nostalgic value and the friends I made there make it so the game has a special place in my heart. Late teen years would have to be RDR2 and Uncharted 4.

Halo trilogy Original dark souls

Battlefield 3. Best PVP based game I've ever played. Which makes me all the more sad looking at the trash that is BF4 and BF1. Haven't given BFV a try yet. Probably will soon due to how many friends are already on it.

AC: Brotherhood was badass. Once you had your fellow assassin's leveled up you could walk into a boss area, no stealth or misdirection, and just call in the cavalry as you slow walked up to the boss and stabbed the miserable SOB. I know the "in your face" approach is completely counter to what the AC universe is supposed to be, but it was -blam!-ing sweet to just walk into a fort and drop the hammer once the enemies started their attack.

Halo 2 It has the best FPS multiplayer gameplay loop ever on console.

WoW. The sense of adventure and community in that game is unmatched - especially playing it as a kid.

Dark souls in general, but specifically the ringed city in 3

I actually really enjoyed Until Dawn, it was a playable horror movie and I loved it so. B-rated and the atmosphere was something I have been looking for aimlessly for a long while. Really close runner-ups were: Dead Space/2 Dying Light Ghost Recon Wildlands Red Dead Redemption 2 (of course) Resident Evil 7

I think every game gets topped to a point. If you're not consistently playing your favorite game than it has been topped for something more entertaining. Every game loses it's magic eventually. Final fantasy X and kingdom hearts were my favorite memories ever playing video games. So at the time they were amazing and I didn't think anything could be better. Now there's a hundred games I'd rather play than them.

Final Fantasy XI. Not the franchise, just XI itself. That was a good ride. Played it for about 10 years. That game was ahead of its time and had things such as "ingame lfg" for every activity. Bungie can't even figure that out 17 years after square launched FFXI on playstation 2.

Pokemon, assassins creed, bioshock and the witcher.

Mother series, Smash, Halo, and Destiny.

Probably Destiny 1, I've put a lot of time into it. Too bad they took a step back for Destiny 2. Before that it would have been Halo: Reach. Big Team Battle and infection all day.

Dragon Ball z Budokai T games. But xenoverse 2 is a close second.

Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. Especially Demon's Souls. I remember having to get Demon's Souls from China. Cost a small fortune. Why on earth did Sony / From Software think that game wasn't worth releasing in the west? Especially considering everything was already voiced in English. I'd argue that Demon's Souls was easily the PS3's best exclusive title.

Bloodborne. I love the Souls series but Bloodborne is the pinnacle for me. It's Lovecraftian horror aesthetic and lore is awesome. Such a rich story if you spend the time working it all out. Also I got the platinum which is one of my best gaming moments. If anyone wants to get into it, I'd be more than happy to help.

so far it's either Elder Scrolls or the OG Halo trilogy (but I'll include ODST to that list)
