There are times when you slam into or bash an enemy player in PVP, the shield bash sound registers, but the target does not die. Every Titan Sentinel main can tell you this. It is extremely frustrating and often causes an untimely and unfair demise. This also happens in Gambit, and very rarely in PVE. I am not asking for a crazy change. I am not trying to say Titans are weak and need more buffs. I am not being opinionated. The hit registration has issues - it has since D2 launch - and it needs to be addressed in the next patch.

1 ReplyI don’t think they should buff the hit registration because look what happened with spectral blades, they became way too good. One time I was facing a SB and the guy hit my team mate next to me but it didn’t kill the team make it killed me on the other side of the room then killed my team mate right after because it attack’s are so fast. See, having a melee super and make it where you don’t even have to hit them to kill them is stupid Plus on SS can throw an auto tracking shield and can block anything that comes by.

Shield melee in the super is the worst. Anyone who disagrees doesn't use the super.

5 RepliesThis is happening with my Striker titan with Seismic Strike and Fists of Havoc. I did a fist of havoc that is not one-shotting. I did a shoulder charge, he survived, I immediately punched him, he survived and then one-punched me. I have never had the negative feelings towards a game company as I do with Bungie right now for allowing these kinds of bugs in a -blam!-ing game that started 4 years ago. We just lost 18-78 or whatever and back-to-back spawns I was getting shot and killed before even fully spawned. I swear to God I cannot state how pissed off I am at what this game as descended to and how a company I've supported for years starting with the original Marathon games, has sunk this low. Bungie, you really suck.

I just don't bother using shield bash, cause whenever I see a sentinel running at me, I always jump straight over him and run away, or slide under him if he's airborne cause he has no ground slam attack. Its so easy to avoid a sentinel, and it makes it even easier when his hits don't connect and push me further away from him (I personally, hate the bash attack animations cause they're so slow and they just feel bulky). It works until he throws the shield. That's the thing with sentinel, stay on the ground to line up shield throws better, block damage and only bash if they are in an enclosed space with a low roof (you only really bash if your throw is on cooldown, since its such a more reliable way to get kills).

6 RepliesHit detection definitely needs a fix, but I think all melee/close range supers need a wider field of vision. I think that alone would fix a lot of these issues.

12 RepliesNo it doesn't need to be fix. It's a latency issue caused by connections. Get over it. It's working as intend but because of your connection or your opponents connection it doesn't connect like it's suppose to. Much like how it's hard to kill someone when they are lagging all over the place or in my case being ddosed to the point where your invisable and can no longer participate in a banner match. Stop these post because it is working as intended.

I haven't noticed, perhaps if they make Mayhem permanent, I can test it out and see if it works. maybe they should, so this roughly translates into, Bring Mayhem Back?
