14 Exotic Duplicates and Counting...
At this point I’ve gotten all the forsaken weapons and 3 of the 4 titan armor pieces. All I’m missing is, of course the strongest one right now, the One-Eyed Mask. My last exotic i got roughly 4 weeks ago, which was the black talon. Since then, I’ve done all my milestones every week and gotten 14 duplicate exotics.
I’m not complaining, its just painful 😂😂
EDIT: Now 15 Duplicates
EDIT 2: Well, just did weekly milestones again. Now at 18 duplicate exotics 😂😭

I haven't gotten an exotic from an engram that's new for almost a year now oh and xur gave me a duplicate XUR

Yeah? I’ve done 33 full Last Wish completions and opened near 40 Riven chests and still don’t have 1K Voices or Tyranny of Heaven or the Glittering Key. It’s stupid., 2018 is over and I didn’t get it.

3 RepliesSorry but i have zero sympathy for you. 16weeks and 1 forsaken exotic. Not being that guy who is a debbie downer 1upper type but the drop rate for some is horrid. I do hope you get your last piece youre missing and will agree with you that the dupe mechanic is still broken much like everything else about this game

3 RepliesThe “dupe protection” patch they implemented made thing a worse for me. I have gotten 26 dupes so far with a majority being weapons. The 4th Thunderlord made me take a break. Some people seriously think the exotic hunt keeps the game alive. I think it is the opposite, I know too many people who left because of getting dupes.

There I was, killing things in EP, and suddenly, I see it. A bright, beautiful gold engram sitting there. I snatched it up like it was the golden ticket to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory and... ... Nezarec's Sin... I've never felt excitement turn to despair so quickly in my life. Edit: Wow, a second exotic drop! And another f*&%ing duplicate. This time Crown of Tempest. This game is the worst.

All I get is that stupid f***ing sparrow, what is it..."Otherside" or something. I would have a better chance getting Wavesplitter if I was an XBox customer. I don't even want it any more.

I got 21 duplicates before I got my OEM. I lost hope around 17...and by chance it dropped with an absolute doo-doo roll while helping a friend on a Nightfall.

I know your pain brother. Exotic duplicate protection is a big joke. Been waiting for the queen breaker since ages. May be I hated it in D1, it just does not drop for me. Duplicates, duplicates and yes, we have more duplicates for you.

Yes sir feel the content stretch in all of its glory. Missing anteus ward for the titan, Phoenix for the lock, and shards of galanor for the hunter. But i only get dups now lots of guns.

I was up to 13 duplicates on my hunter before I got 6th Coyote as my last exotic. I cannot wait to not do f-hacking milestones on any character for the rest of the season.

How about an update? I know I was so excited when I got my 4 th pair of lion rampants in the raid last night. Not even a regular raid reward. Just the Lion Rampants. Oh and my dune marchers the day before. Really impactful rewards Bungie. Bravo. Can’t wait to watch this game die.

2 RepliesDude I know your pain. I’ve been on a 2 month grind for my very last hunter exotic. I’ve gotten duplicate after duplicate after duplicate. And of course, it’s the shards of galanor that I’m hunting for smh.

1 ReplyI know how that goes. After the "change" to how the exotics drop I got 3 risk runners in a row, already had one. Then I got 4 actium war rigs in a row, 2 hallowfire in a row, 2 fighting lions in a row, then 2 midras in a row. So much for the duplicate protection when it's literally back to back the same items. I think it might be broken a little. I did end up going on a run and getting items I was interested in playing around with, but they were not the le monarque that I was farming the forges for.
