Do bows need a buff in both pve and pvp?

Right now they feel like “fun” weapons with the exception of maybe le monarque in pvp. i would say buff draw time all across the board for every archetype, by about a few milliseconds or so, so they have more ad clearing potential and faster ttk. edit: so it seems people disagree with the draw time buff, how about the uncharged shots (not fully drawn, but not just pressing the fire button once,) get a bit more distance and accuracy, just to make close counters a bit easier? i feel like bows have bad ttk, but can make up for it by having good everything else

  • Bows are not very suited to lone wolf style play but are really good team weapons in the crucible. If you have someone backing you up opponents don’t stand much of a chance.

    • The Monarque is fantastic in PvP and um, okay in pve, I mean it is a ranged weapon. But it feels good. What we need PvP wise is a bow that draws fast enough to two tap. Just give it a special perk like "two precision hits in a row activate [name]" and give the precision hits a limited time to be hit in order to activate the perk. Just an idea anyway. They aren't REALLY viable in either game modes as it stands and it's mostly a draw time issue.

        No. The weapon rewards precision yet has a generous hit box. Rampage, explosive rounds or dragonfly will fix your crowd-control issues.

      • Ironically, I seem to only be able to do well with bows in crucible (I think it has something to do with the draw time pacing out my shots or something), but I see your point. Personally, I don't feel like they need a buff, but if they were to get one to help with ad clearing, piercing could be interesting. Wouldn't really change their pvp balance, but would help with pve. My 2 cents anyway.
